Steem-Cameroon Weekly Plagiarism Report (29/05/2022)
Plagiarism Report
Accept warm Steem greetings and a happy weekend from the Steem Cameroon plagiarism team. It’s another awesome week, with much ahead to be achieve. This report is meant to constantly remind steemians to always check, and recheck their content before published. It is for this reason that we do encourage all steemians to often check their content even after posting.
There are instances where internet services are terrible, and if not careful, you might check plagiarism and you think it’s 100 unique. But curators or plagiarism team might later on check your content and it’s not unique 100%.
This week, we noticed an improvement in content creation in Steem-Cameroon, free from plagiarism, especially amongst old Steemians, even though we recorded some few plagiarized contents. We equally noticed some users used block quotes without including the sources.
It is a duty for all admins, and MODs to cross-check plagiarism on all content on the Steem-Cameroon community before using the community account to curate. This is to ensure that users do not plagiarize content but rather share steem exclusive content. We encourage users to create 100% Unique content.
For your content to be 100% Unique, it means that your article does not have any percentage of plagiarized content. We believed that there are some themes that require users to research before writing. An advice we will give is that endeavor to acknowledge the authors by referencing your borrowed work. When you do not acknowledge the original author, then it is considered academic theft. Steem Cameroon Community Account does not in any way tolerate such acts and admins and MODs do not hesitate to mute such content.
Steem Cameroon Community Account gives out the first warning and might give second and third thoughts before your content is muted. With old Steemit users, we mute the content and if the user continue plagiarising, the user is blacklisted from the community.
This week, the team reviewed 32 accounts in total and recorded 02 plagiarised content.
However, we recommend that everyone should endeavor to cross-check content several times before posting.
Users should stop editing their posts after a plagiarised comment is made on the post, but endeavor to add references. This is because you do not edit what has been recorded on the blockchain.
New users should complete their achievement program in the newcomer's community to familiarize themselves with the platform especially achievement 3 on plagiarism and achievement 4 on markdown.
Users should use Google lens to check the originality of images.
We encourage users to use the following links to check plagiarism.
