WHAT DO “CHRISTMAS SEASON” MEAN TO YOU?

Christmas Season is a time of joy and a time to celebrate the birthday of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Is a period I sit with my family to catch up on periods we’ve missed during the year as a result of our busy schedules. Is always a fun and memorable moment. Sometimes, we go out for picnics in beach as a family. Christmas is always a day we look out for every year.

PLOT OF THE MOVIE

Once upon a time in a kingdom far far away in the North Pole, filled with elves and their leader Santa Claus. Santa Claus as we know it was the embodiment of joy every season, always putting smile on children’s faces. Families lined up in queues just to have a moment with Santa. But despite Santa being the happiest man alive, he had his own personal battles he was fighting with.

Over the years, Santa Claus has been fighting this battle of loneliness. Most times when he goes to share presents and he sees love ones lying side by side at night during the winter or when he sees the joy and laughter shared among family members, he envies them and wished one day he was in their shoes. Year after year, this sadness kept growing within him, until he finally made a decision that he was embarking on a strike. The elves were shocked and disappointed. They sent papa and mama elves, his close pals as representatives to talk to him, so he could change his mind.

They met Santa Claus and asked him what the matter was and he explained to them that he was lonely. That everyone on earth was created to have a soulmate. Humans have a pair, elves have pair, animals have pairs even his reindeer ( the animals that drives Santa Claus sleigh ) has a pair, why won’t he have a soul mate? That they should show him anywhere in the books where they stated Santa is to be alone forever?? It seems the discussion to convince Santa Claus wasn’t going anywhere, they had to leave him alone. North Pole that was always vibrant every Christmas season became so gloomy. The elves decided to make it public to the world that their beloved Santa Claus has gone on strike.

Soon, the news of Santa Claus been on strike spread all over the world like wild fire. Families were shocked. How will the bringer of joy every Christmas season decide to stop his work? How will Christmas be without Santa??? Those were the questions on people’s mind.

While Santa sat at his spot, close to the fireplace to think about how life has been so unfair to him, he noticed a letter sent from earth. He tried to ignore it but when he noticed it was a crayon used for the write up, he knew it was from a kid and decided to pick it up and read. It wrote:

Dear Santa,

I know you don’t know me but you have been my idol since I was a baby. I heard about the ongoing strike and how lonely you fill and I’m so sorry about that. I’m on my sick bed writing this letter as i battle with cancer and I’ve just few weeks to live. It will be a dream come true if I finally see you in person before I die. Wishing to see you all this years is what have given me strength. I hope this letter gets to you.

Miracle.

Tears filled Santa’s eyes as he read miracles short letter. He finally realized Christmas is a magical moment everyone are always looking forward to. A moment filled with joy and happiness and he represented those moments. He also accepted that there are far bigger challenges people in the world are dealing with compared to his own loneliness, that has made him keep the children of the world on a sad mood.

It was just a day to the eve of Christmas, Santa rushed to his workshop and woke up all his elves and asked them how fast can they set up everything for Christmas Eve. They said as soon as possible, that he should just give them the order. North Pole was once again lively and filled with excitement and joy. Their boss is back and even more excited. He called on papa and mama elf to do a special gift for a little girl name miracle.

It was Christmas Eve, Santa wore his red suit, arranged his gifts and reindeer and drove through the night in the sky, screaming “ho, ho, ho!! Guess, who’s back?? Santa has magical powers, so it was easy distributing the gifts in no time and left the best gift for last. While miracle was sleeping on her sick bed, he tapped her on the nose. She woke up and was scared because the place was too bright filled with a thousand stars, so no one could see his face. He told her he’s Santa Claus. She still had doubts in her mind until he showed her, her letter. She was so excited, filled with tears of joy. Santa gave her the special gift he made for her.

Santa was about leaving, before he asked if there was any other thing she wished for. She said “no, that her desire was just to see him before she passed away”.
Tears came down santa eyes, he couldn’t watch little miracle die. So, he entered his sleigh and zoomed into the sky, heading straight to heaven. He met Jesus and made a plea on behalf of baby miracle and asked if he could heal her on Christmas Day been his birthday. That she’s the reason he called off the strike and she made him realize that love and companionship could be found in the most unexpected places. Jesus smiled and said he will grant his request.

On the day of Christmas, everyone was once again happy. Santa Claus finally called of his strike and brought back joy and happiness. Miracle parents alongside her classmates and neighbors that came to pay their last respect went to see her in the hospital bed but was shocked at the scene they met. Miracle was jumping up and down screaming she saw Santa Claus, but no one believed her because no one have ever seen Santa Claus before.

The doctor took miracle’s parents to the side and told them that there is no longer trace of cancer in her body again. That their daughter is not going to die. They couldn’t believe what they were hearing. They kept crying and holding the daughter with all joy before they broke the news to miracles friends, that she is now well. Christmas had triumphed once again and it was a memorable day for miracles family…
