The best day for the week was 28 August 2021. I have got my final vaccination on that day. Earlier I have received my first dose of vaccination on 02 Jun 2021. It was the Covishield vaccine. As per the current vaccination protocol which is being followed in India, the second dose of the Covishield vaccine will be after 84 days from the first dose of the vaccine. With this calculation, my second dose was due on 25 August 2021.
The vaccination was arranged by my employer. Those who are eligible for vaccination, are getting email from the vaccination team. Tgey are also getting message in their mobile to check their official email. If they are available at the date and time that is scheduled for them, they need confirm the same in our internal portal. If they are not available due to any unavoidable reason, they can reschedule the vaccination.
Every employee is getting a vaccination slot. My slot was between 4pm to 5pm.
I completed my lunch and left from home at 3:25pm.
Then I walk till the Bus Stand and board a bus going towards my direction. The bus was running with 50% of passengers as per the government rule.
I reached office on time. The security team at the entry gate verified if my name is scheduled at the hour. Then they checked my body temperature using infra-red thermometer and allowed me to enter the premise.
Inside the office, people were sitting maintaining social distance. The admin team calling people to go for vaccination. The vaccination is being done by one of the leading hospital. After the vaccination, they immediately update the vaccination details in cowin portal.
We waited in the cafeteria for 30 min to check side effect, if any. During this waiting time, the cafeteria employees served coffee and cookies to everyone.
Then I left office as there is no side effect, and come back to home. It feels good that I am fully Vaccinated now.

The new vaccine is coming from johnson and johnson, in this only one 1 vaccine is required, and no needed second.

Unfortunately, the JnJ vaccine is not available in India. Here, people are getting Covishield / Covaxine based on the availability if they opt for government vaccination program. Sputnik-V is available at few private hospital in metro cities.
Oh, I heard that the JnJ vaccine will be coming in September 2021, let's see. Next month I have a second vaccine date.

Hello @stream4u, if you have taken Covishield /Covaxine as your first dose, you need to take the same vaccine.
I agree that single dose vaccination is better for a big country like India with huge population. But I have heard JnJ vaccine need to be stored at -70°C. That will be another challenge for this.
