Steemit Engagement Challenge S8-W3 | Elections in my Country.
Hello Everyone. I am @msharif
From #Bangladesh
Hello friends how are you all? Hope everyone is well. Today I am back to participate in another contest for the third week of the Engagement Challenge. Where I will talk about my country's election. This contest is very interesting for me because our country will have national elections later this year so I now have a lot of information to talk about it. Anyway this is a great contest and I want to thank Steem Cameroon for organizing this contest.
My country name is People's Republic of Bangladesh. Our country is a democratic country. National elections are held every five years in our country. Where we the common people elect the candidates of our choice through our voting rights. In my country so far two methods of voter election have been completed. One is through ballot paper and the other is through electronic machines.
In our country, like every country, a specific time is selected and elections are held with the participation of different parties and later the winners of the elections work with the people. And I think democratic elections are perfect and the way elections are conducted in our country seems right to me that's why I have cast my vote twice and I am very satisfied with the elections in my country.
Most of the places in my country are currently voting in an electoral system. I think this is a very easy way to vote. Because earlier when voting was done on the ballot, many times the vote was canceled due to many mistakes. But since the advent of electoral system, the issue of cancellation of votes has completely stopped because there is no need for any kind of seal or signature. Voters can directly vote for their preferred candidates through electronic devices with a click of a button. I think this system is very effective and it is possible to make the right selection through it.
Though first time after electoral voting system came in our country common people felt shy to vote through it but now everyone is very happy to vote in this system and everyone finds it perfect.
Since the date and time of the election is fixed in advance, the electronic devices along with necessary items are sent to each election office one day before it. And one presiding officer is given from each party. Besides, each polling hall is assigned an officer responsible for conducting the elections there and there are two to three levels of security forces who provide round-the-clock security in the area.
All these things are planned in advance and are executed during the elections. Then during the election, the election is conducted through tight security and the winner is declared through accurate counting. Elections in our country are conducted through a beautiful procedure though some mishaps sometimes happen. However, later on everything was managed and the election was held in a very beautiful manner and everyone's favorite qualified candidates were elected and became known as public leaders.
In fact, the election is very transparent in my country. Because during elections in my country the election commission performs all the duties and the government has no responsibility. The Election Commission performs all duties from the beginning to the end of the election and selects the winning candidates.
They impose various rules and regulations on all the candidates during the election, and some rules disqualify the candidates if they are violated. And they work hard to make the elections transparent and in touch with the law and order forces of the country they manage everything smoothly with the cooperation of the common people.
If it happens that I find that the election is not fair and I have the power to make it fair. Then I must faithfully perform certain duties and do certain things by which I think the election is likely to be fair.
I must first send a notice to all the candidates where I will give them some guidelines to help me in making the election fair. In this case, I will impose some strict restrictions such as disqualification of the candidature of a candidate if his supporters commit any wrongdoing during the election, any wrongdoing before the election and illegal means to win the election and if it is proved If so, the candidate's candidature will be cancelled. I will send some more such guidelines to each candidate first.
Then I will meet three to four levels of law enforcement officers at least three to four times. After that, with everyone's cooperation, I will keep strict security forces in every election area on election day. And I will always monitor so that no one can do two numbers in the election. I think if I take all these steps, I will be able to contribute to a fair election.
I invite @goodybest @nadiaturrina @jyoti-thelight to participate in this contest.
