Steemit Engagement Challenge S8-W3 | Elections in my Country

Greetings, Steemians of Steem Cameroon, how are you all? This is the third week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge season 8. Today I am here to take part in the beautiful contest organized by Steem Cameroon community. The topic of this contest is "Elections in my country."

What do you think about Elections in your country?

My beloved country Pakistan is a democratic country, which means people can freely choose the government of Pakistan through their votes. Since the independence of Pakistan, the government of Pakistan has always been elected through elections. The custom of election in Pakistan is very old.

Parliament consists of two houses: the National Assembly and the Senate. The National Assembly consists of 342 seats whose members are directly elected by the votes of the Pakistani people, and the Senate consists of 100 seats whose members are elected by the provincial legislators.

Of the total 342 seats in the National Assembly, 60 are for women. In Pakistan, the Prime Minister is the head of the entire country, and the Prime Minister is chosen on the basis of the majority in the National Assembly. which means that the party that has the most seats in the National Assembly can make the Prime Minister from its own ranks.

In my country, Pakistan, the president is elected by the Electoral College, which consists of the National Assembly and the Senate of the Parliament, as well as the provincial assemblies of the four provinces of Pakistan. The President does not have the same powers as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

What do you think about the electoral system in your country?

There is an institution in Pakistan named the Election Commission of Pakistan. This institute is responsible for all the elections in Pakistan. This institute holds elections every five years in Pakistan. This organization takes elections of National assembly as well as senate.

The Election Commission of Pakistan is completely equal for each party; it consists of 4 retired judges from all four provinces of Pakistan and 1 Chief Election Commission, which means that these 5 members are the main team of the Election Commission of Pakistan.

This organization was formed in 1956, and since then it has been conducting elections with proper management. Its head office is in Islamabad, and the main objective of this organization is to conduct honest and fair elections. The electoral system of Pakistan is good, but it still needs some improvement.

How is it done in your country?

As I said above, the Election Commission of Pakistan is responsible for general elections in Pakistan. That is why elections are held in Pakistan every five years. First all the parties nominate their candidates for the elections.

After that, the Election Commission of Pakistan builds polling stations for people in every city and village so that people can cast their vote. The original ID card holder can cast his vote. This overall process is done with high security.

The members of the Election Commission then collect all the vote boxes and count the votes from all the polling stations in a particular city. The candidate with the highest number of votes is declared the winner. This counting process is also done properly and within security.

Is it transparent and fair in your country?

By the way, the Election Commission of Pakistan tries its best to conduct transparent and fair elections during the election days. But there are some parties that do not stop their actions and rigging the elections. Like all countries, Pakistan also sees a lot of rigging during election days.

There is tight security at all the polling stations, but still some people do not stop rigging and do it to win their party. But one good thing about the ECP is that at the polling stations where rigging is revealed, they conduct re-election at that polling station.

Rigging is only done in those areas where there is a feudal system, and in those areas, there are some powerful people who do such activities. If we talk about the big cities of Pakistan, the elections are very clean and transparent.

Solutions to ensure its being carried out the right way.

There are many ways in which elections can be conducted transparently in Pakistan and around the world. If these ways are implemented, then I can definitely say that there can never be any rigging in the election in every country. Now let me tell you my solution in this regard.

Friends, Blockchain is a great discovery in the world of technology and has won the hearts of many people because it is very clean and transparent if we use it. With the help of this technology, we can never fall victim to fraud because it's too transparent.

And according to my opinion, if elections in every country are conducted with the help of blockchain technology, we can avoid many frauds and with the help of this we can conduct very clean and transparent elections because it is very good and unchangeable.

So my solution is that elections in the whole world should be conducted with the help of blockchain technology. If this happens, it will be very good for all countries, and everyone will benefit from it. Because every party will win on merit and without rigging.
