When it comes to talent and skills, I believe that people are both made and born. I know by now, you must be asking yourself how. Ok, let me explain. As humans, every one of us was created with a special talent from God. Some are talented at singing, while some are naturally talented at playing musical instruments.

Don't forget, they were not taught how to do it, but they were born with it. And right from childhood, someone's talent can be seen by people, based on how the child will be in love with doing certain activities.

People can also be made in the sense that as humans we are always curious to know new things. In the course of pursuing knowledge, we get to pick an interest in some work or activities. As a result of that interest, we tend to make up our minds to learn how to do that activity.

For example, some people are naturally not talented in singing, but because they so much love to sing, they try all they could to learn it. Also, some people are not naturally made to be chefs, but because they love cooking, they enroll them self in a chef school. With that, we can say they are made.

What do you understand by Talent(skill)? With examples

I see talent as the adequate aptitude or ability in one direction, above the normal average. Someone who has talent in a particular thing can do it without trying hard.

Talent comes from God and everyone has a talent for a particular thing. Guess what, anyone with talent in a particular thing can do it better than any other person. Without much stress, a person with talent can carry out a task uniquely and amazingly.

Let me use my brother (Allyvadus) as an example. Allyvandus has never been to any music school, and he never joined any subgroup in church. But guess what, he can play almost all the musical instruments in church.

He is good at playing guitar, strumpet, drums 🥁, keyboard ⌨️, etc. When he was a child, he loves playing drums with anything he see at home. He broke a lot of buckets as a result of using them to play drums. People like that, are born with it, and no matter how much you try, you can not do better than them.

Difference between in-born and self-learned talent?

Inborn talents come from God, and they can be seen in us right from childhood. Right from a tender age, I love teaching. I always love to have people around me to teach them what I know. The reason is that I feel fulfilled doing it, and I am good at it. That's my inborn talent.

Talking about self-learned talent, these are skills we acquired to either help us earn a living or for other purposes. To acquire those skills, we must strive hard, pass through mentorship, make investigations, etc.

Illustrations of talent can be seen in our daily lives. for instance, everyone can sing, but not everyone can sing good melodies music. Some voices are boring, and the reason is, that music is never their talent.

Also, everyone can kick a ball but not everyone can play professional football. Why do people look up Messi and Ronald today? It is because they play exceptionally, and they are better than anyone in the business.

More to that, everyone can teach, but how many people can teach effectively? There are people that once they teach you, you will be like wow... This is a good teacher. The reason is that he or she has teaching talent in him or her. Unlike other teachers that would take hours explaining something, and yet no one would understand.

How can you identify talent?

Skills can be identified in various ways. First of all, looks at what you love doing right from childhood. In most cases, what you grow up doing is your talent.

In other ways, skills can be identified by your efficiency in doing a particular thing. Someone who learned a skill can be good, but can never be better than someone who has the talent of that thing.

For instance, a child who loves connecting wires, toys, and other electronics, definitely has engineering skills. Also, a child who loves to play football, basketball ball, tennis, etc. Can be said to have skills in the sport.

As I mentioned earlier, I love teaching and I am good at it. I believe that's my talent. After realizing my talent, I saw it as a necessity to use it to bless others. Today, I am not just a teacher, but I am qualified.

Talking about my self-learned skill, I am happy and proud to tell you that I was able to develop the skills of repairing automobiles 🚘. I started to look learning the skill at the age of 15. With consistency, I am now a mechanic.
