"Steem Cameroon Best day Contest - 21.05.2024"

Greetings! Friends of Steemit and Steem Cameroon.

The first Tuesday of the month of Jaistha of Bengali calendar ( 21.05.2024) is very sacred as on this day worshiping Devi Mangal Chadi is very gracious. So this year also Mangal Chandi Puja was celebrated with lot of devotion and dedication. As the temple has renovated it has become much easier and faster to carry out worship in more disciplined manner.

Actually this is the first time I visited the place on the occasion. I also participated in the puja. Ofcourse it's a more than three hundred years old temple and mentioned in the verse of that period. Once upon a time there were marchent who used to worship the stone godess for her blessings and protection from the pirate when they go abroad by seaway for training. In course of time the stone idol got the shape of face with three eye with one wisdom eye. They have put one golden crown on her head and she wore banarashi saree.

The purohit conducted individual offering for Puja. It was not so crowded when I reached the temple. I could enter the sanctum very miraculously without obstacles. I saw devi mata from a close proximity. On the other days they don't allow to take photo from outside also. But that day I took photos from close to diety.

After darshan I was fully satisfied and happy and also feeling blessed.

One fair is also held during this period inside the temple premises and surrounding area. People used donate in lakhs for the stall space. It is said that no one returns home with unsold goods. There are people who used to roam around from one fair to other for their living. I spent some more time in the fair. Mainly household items, toys, crockery, junk Jwellery are displayed.
