INTRODUCTION

Greetings friends, i trust you guys are doing fine and enjoying your day.
This is a nice and interesting contest in @steem-cameroon community, and i am always happy to be a part of it.
The theme of the contest is National or international Awareness day contest, and i will be discussing about Mother's day by answering the contest questions.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MOTHER'S DAY?

Mother's day is a day that is always Celebrated every year in the world to honor all the mothers and mother figure, as well as the important role the play in the family and their influence in the society.

Mother's day is always celebrated annually every 14_th May which is always the second sunday in May.
Mother's day has been Celebrated for centuries now, and it can be traced back to the accient civilization such as the Romans and Greeks, who threw a party in honor of mother goddesses.

The modern version of Celebrating mother's day was established in 1908 in the united states by Anna Jarris who decided to honor her mother for her selfless dedication to the family.

But now a days mother's day is being Celebrated with flowers, cards, gift and other special things in which they can used in showing their love and appreciation to mothers.

HOW DO YOU OR YOUR ORGANIZATION CELEBRATE MOTHER'S DAY?

Mother's day is always Celebrated every second sunday of May, although that day is not always set or decleared as a public holiday like in other countries around the world.

The way we celebrate mother's day is similar to the way other countries celebrate theirs, by honoring and showing love to their mothers by giving them gifts, such as cards, flowers or any other special items.
Some may decide to take their mother out for a meal or to spend some quality time with their mother.

To be honest, i don't celebrate mother's day because I don't have a mother, and that particular day always makes me sad because it always reminds me of my late mother.

WHAT IMPACT DOES YOUR COMMUNITY GAIN BEFORE AND AFTER MOTHER'S DAY?

Mother's day has a lot of impact in my community, one of it is that it provides an opportunity for people to express and show their appreciation to their mother for the love and care she has shown to them.

It also impact our community by promoting consumer spending, because people always purchase so many gift for their mother's.

WHAT ISSUE OR CONCERN WILL YOU RECOMMEND TO BE COMMEMORATED THIS WEEK AND ON WHAT DATE?

I don't have any issue or concern to recommend to be Commemorated this week. So i will still stick with the one i recommend in my last post, which is Worlds Remembrance day and i think it should be on 17_th May.
