INTRODUCTION

Greetings my fellow steemians, i trust everyone is doing fine and enjoying the last month of the year.
I'm Edidiong from Nigeria, and am happy to be part of this contest in @steem-cameroon community with the theme National or International Awareness Day.
In today's post i will be discussing on **Kisan Divas(Farmer's Day) by answering the contest questions.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT KISAN DIVAS (FARMER'S DAY)

Kisan divas(farmers day) is a day that is being Celebrated on December 23rd in india to recognize, honor and appreciate farmers as the support or backbone of their country.

Kisan divas is popularly know as Farmer's day, it's a day that is always observed annually in various countries to celebrate the ckntributions farmers make to society and to reward them for it.

Farmer's day is celebrated in various countries and on different date, and they are;

1. India - Farmer's day popularly know as kivas divas is celebrated on 23rd December.
2. Ghana - the Celebrate national farmers day on the first Friday of December every year.
3. Pakistan - Farmers day popularly know as kissan day, celebrate it on 18th December
4. South korea - celebrate it on 11th November
5. United state - celebrate it on 12 October
6. Vietnam celebrate it every 14 October
7. Zambia - celebrate it annually on the first Monday of August
   

HOW DO YOU OR YOUR COUNTRY CELEBRATE FARMERS DAY

In my country farmers day is not Celebrated, but in my state some Communities/ villages do celebrate it by harvesting some of their crops, organized a little party at the village square, then the will cook all the harvested crops and everyone will eat to their satisfaction, this celebration is always observed every 8th March.

WHAT IMPACT DOES YOUR COMMUNITY GAIN DURING AND AFTER THE COMMEMORATION?

This Commemoration day always have a huge impact in my community/village to the point that no market or school in the community will be open that particular day, and if any market or school in that village opens that day, they will pay a fine of 20,000 naira approximately equal to 208 steem for disobeying the village rules.

WHAT ISSUE OR CONCERN WILL YOU RECOMMEND TO BE COMMEMORATED THIS WEEK AND ON WHAT DATE?

In Nigeria, we launch a new Naira note last month, i would like to recommend 23rd December to be Commemorated as Nigerian currency day.
