Good day friends, i hope all is well. It's always my pleasure to participate in this interesting contest in @steemcameroon community, and the theme is National or international Awareness day.
In this post i will be discussing on the international widow's day by answering and following the contest tips.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT INTERNATIONAL WIDOW'S DAY?

International widows day is a day that was set to raise awareness each year about the plight of widows around the world.
The main aim is to address the discrimination, injustice, stigmatization, poverty and other challenges faced by widows and advocate for their right.

The international widows day is always observe on 23_23rd june of every year, and it was established by the United Nations general Assembly in order to draw attention to the economic, social and emotional hardships that is being experience by widows in the whole world.

International widows day empower the widows by Promoting economic empowerment, healthcare, access to Education and the elimination of gender-based violence and harmful practice against widows.

The international widows day had already been observed by the Loomba foundation in 2005, and it was founded by Rajinder Loomba who was a member of the house of lords in U.K to work on the problems faced by widows globally.

HOW DO YOU OR YOUR COUNTRY CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WIDOWS DAY??

In my country, international widows day is observed on the same date with various initiative and activities aimed to raise awareness about the challenges faced by the widows worldwide, including poverty, discrimination, violence and social exclusion and advocating for their right.

Nigeria Celebrate international widows day by organizing seminars, awareness campaigns, and by empowerment and supporting Communities.

WHAT IMPACT DOES YOUR COMMUNITY GAIN DURING AND AFTER INTERNATIONAL WIDOWS DAY?

The commemoration always have huge impact in my community during and after observance.
Some of the impact gain during international widows day is increase of awareness, policy reform, international cooperation, changes, and empowerment programs which will be very helpful to the widows in overcoming some of the challenges the normally face.

WHAT ISSUE OR CONCERN WILL YOU RECOMMEND TO BE COMMEMORATED THIS WEEK AND ON WHAT DATE?

I always like to recommendInternational world remembrance day because a lot of people who died have been forgotten along with the good thing they did, and it should be celebrated every 24_th june.
