Steem greetings @weisser-rabe, it was great reading about your experience with your kids. You are indeed a wonderful parent. I have learned a lot from your experience.
I learned about ASD in March of this year when my sister-in-law came from the USA with her two autistic kids. At first, it was difficult for the family to accept the kids the way they were, and Grandma had to take the kids from one prayer session to the other. I researched about it and realized that most people were ignorant of ASD.

The family has two options: either they accept the children with all their weaknesses, peculiarities and strengths - and thus perhaps have access to completely new "worlds" and horizons. Or they close themselves off to this and remain... closed.
