National or International awareness day Contest (World Braille Day)

Good day to all steemians, im am hailing from Cameroon, and i must say that i am very glad to be participting in this contest by #steemcameroon everyweek they come up with something new and exciting for us to write ablut nd this keeps the team live.

Today in the National or Internltional awareness day we are celebrating the World Braille day and until today i didn't know that such a day is celebrated but with the help of this educative contest we are able to write about this day so following the guidelines from the contest post i will be presenting to you my valid points

Braille Defined
Braille is a method of communication for the visually impaired. It uses a system where some raised dots are arranged in a particular pattern to represent letters which the visually impaired can read. This is a very revolutional method of reading and writing for the visually impaired created by Louis Braille in 1824.

Importance of Braille

Braille is a very efficient tool of communication for all visually impaired. The method gives a level ground for communication for all individuals and makes life more normal for the visually impaired. Education for the visually impaired can be made available in Braille version.

Aceesibility Defined
This is the process of making available various tools, equipments and services for peope with disabilities to use. This creates equal access to information, knowledge and opportunities for everyone to enjoy.

Types of accessibility includes Visual accessibility, auditory accessibility, physical accessibility, tactile accessibility. These have their applications and target individuals to meet.

There are four key parts of Brailey which i will talk about their meanings and what they signify so I'll be talking about the Eyes, the Head, the body, and the shape of Brailey...

The eyes

Brailey's eyes have lenses, indicating he is visually impaired signifying the target population of the visually impaired.

The Head

The head of Brailey reprasents the thunb or fingers of the visually impaired since it looks and have the same shape as it.

The body

Brailey's clothes have a few dots on it, this represents the method of communication which are the raised dots which are used for reading and writing.

The Shape
Brailey is almost spherical, showing a welcoming appearance to everyone with disabilities. The welcoming appearance shows how accessibility brings everyone together
