Abak Soup, A Delicious Recipe ๐Ÿฒ.

Hello steemian, it's another another new month and week we just begun. I believe the month is going to be great. Today, I bring to you Abak soup (Efere Abak). It's a very popular soup here in Nigeria but some people that want to behave digitally see the process of preparation as a very long process that requires much time.

Let me shock you, this soup is the simplest soup to cook compared to Afang, Editan etc. Or will you tell me, pounding palm fruit will take time? Oh no! The process doesn't take up to 10minute except the fruits is not soft enough.

๐Ÿ’™PALM FRUIT ๐Ÿ’™ICE FISH ๐Ÿ’™ COWSKIN ๐Ÿ’™ CRAYFISH ๐Ÿ’™ DRIED FISH ๐Ÿ’™ PEPPER ๐Ÿ’™SALT ๐Ÿ’™ PERIWINKLE ๐Ÿ’™ SEASONING CUBES ๐Ÿ’™ ATAMA LEAF ๐Ÿ’™ ONION

Method of preparation

๐Ÿ”นWash the palm fruit thoroughly, put inside the pot, add water and boil. As the pot is on fire, wash the fishes, cowskin, periwinkle. Add salt, slice onions, pepper, seasoning cubes, stir gently and keep aside.

๐Ÿ”น Check on the fruit. Make sure the fruit is very soft before offing the light. Remove the pot, use filter and drain the water before pouring inside a mortar. Pound the fruit immediately. The smooth achievement is good when the fruit is still very hot

๐Ÿ”นHeat water to boil and then place the pot containing the stock on fire. pour in hot water inside a bowel, pour the Atama leaf inside the bowel, use eatable spoon to make a stir, then allow it for awhile.

๐Ÿ”น Pour in the pounded palm fruit into a wide bowel, spread the remaining hot water all through the mixture, use turning stick to stir and allow for 2minutes.

๐Ÿ”นThe stock is well season. With your hand, squeeze the chaff and the kennel out for the water. Use filter to drain the water into the stock.

The essence of the warm water is to completely removed all the oil from the pounded palm fruit.

๐Ÿ”น Add grinder crayfish, stir very well and have a taste to know if there's in need of any other ingredient. Allow the pot open to boil.

๐Ÿ”น Get the Atama leaf close to where cool water is and begin to wash. After washing, put inside a mortar and begin to pound.

๐Ÿ”น The soup as boiling very well.

Add the Atama leaf, stir thoroughly and off the light.

๐Ÿ”น Oh wahoo ๐Ÿ˜ฒ, the Abak Soup is ready .

The soup goes well with any type of swallow. To me, I prefer using it now with cassava flour. Do not forget that Abak Soup can replace stew when thinking of what to use and eat the white rice. It's a perfect match for white rice.

Abak soup (efere Abak) is one of my favorite thou, people see it as a hard to prepare soup but I don't see it that way, I learnt how to prepare it from my grandma thou, that woman really train me on cooking very well
