This week's topic is truly controversial and debatable, as each country has its unique way of conducting elections. However, in Pakistan, the topic of elections is particularly complex due to multiple factors that must be considered.

It is the vital to continue the dialogue and work on creating a more inclusive, transparent, and fair electoral process .

What do you think about Elections in your country

In our sweet Pakistan, the general election is held every five years to elect members of the National Assembly (NA) and provincial assemblies (PA). The election process is overseen by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), which is responsible for ensuring fair and transparent elections . Candidates must required to register with the EC Pakistan and must meet certain eligibility criteria for voting , such as being at least 25 years of old and possessing a bachelor's degree.

On the day of the elections , voters can cast their ballots at designated polling stations. These votes are then counted by teachers staff and the candidate with the most votes is declared the winner .

Political parties play a vital role in the election process, as candidates are often associated with a particular party. Party leaders campaign across the country to garner support for their seaters .

What do you think about the electoral system in your country?

Pakistan has a parliamentary system form of government, and elections are held every five years to elect members for assemblies. The President of Pakistan is elected by an Electoral Systems , which is based on members of the Senate, National Assembly NA , and the Provincial Assemblies PA.

This electoral system in Pakistan has been the under subject of some controversy and criticism, with allegations of vote-rigging, voter intimidation, and other irregularities in systems . However, the country has taking steps to improve the electoral system in recent years, including the use of electronic voting machines consideration and the introduction of a biometric verification system to ensure the integrity of the voting process.

How is it done in your country?

Pakistan, officially is known as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, is a democratic country that elects its seaters through a multi-party electoral system. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is responsible to conduct and managing all elections in the country. Elections are held at three levels the national, provincial, and local levels, and citizens of Pakistan who are minimum 18 years or older are eligible to cast vote.

During election days , political parties nominate their candidates for various seats in NA and PA assemblies . The candidates then start campaign throughout the country, and citizens have the right to attend rallies, listen to speeches, and make an informing decision on election day. On election day, citizens cast their votes in polling stations located in their respective near areas .

Is it transparent and fair in your country..
No of course not ! Elections in Pakistan are often based by controversies, and transparency and fairness are a rare sight. One of the main reasons for this is the involvement of the military in the electoral system . The military often plays a main role in the selection of candidates and the running of election campaigns. This reduce the independence of the electoral process and raises questions about the credibility of the results.

Furthermore, the weak roots of democratic Govt in Pakistan make it difficult to ensure transparency and fairness in the electoral process. Corruption, vote rigging, and intimidation are all too common during electoral process . The lack of an independent election commission and a worst media also add to the problem.

Solutions to ensure its being carried out the right way

First, of all an independent and impartial election commission should be established to oversee the electoral system . The commission should be empowered to investigate and prosecute any activities of electoral malpractice and be given the resources necessary to carry out its mandate effectively.

Secondly, transparency in the electoral system should be a priority. This can be achieved through measures such as requiring political parties to disclose their sources of funding and making the results of the votes publicly available.

Thirdly, efforts should be made to educate the public on the importance of voting process and their rights as voters. This can be done through voter education campaigns and by ensuring that voting isreaches to all citizens.

By implementing these measures and laws , it is possible to ensure that elections are carried out in a fair and effective manner

Enough for today and best of luck

@artist1111, Manipulation and intimidation clear signs of non-transparency in your country's elections.

Well, you are not alone here in my country. Likewise, intimidation, manipulation, and although the vote is electronic, it has also given rise to irregularities.

In your country, the vote is still manual and if they are going to adapt it to be electronic if they really want to refine the country's electoral system.

It has to be a globally recognized company where it does not lend itself to favoring the sector that hires them.

Since they will still be in the same situation, only the ruler who is in power at that moment wins.

When the military is included and manages the electoral processes, without a doubt, even though civilians want to act with transparency.

the military are the ones who ultimately have the last word.

Thank you for telling us what the electoral process is like in your.

I say goodbye wishing you have a happy day.
