"Hello Steemians!"

I bring you my warmest greetings from Ghana. To proceed, let me thank @beautychicks for her effort creating this great Community. I think is laudable idea to have such big Community that will tend to host our beloved Africans and lately attract Steem Investors all over the World. I think this will also be one of the moves that Steemit Team will appreciate per the current trends of Steem promotion challenge. You can even check out from today's challenge: My Local Steem Promotion Plan

The number of Covid 19 cases keep increasing with new report of infected people. As at now, the number of report cases are #9,910 cases. Out of this number, #3,645 have recovered and #48 have died. This means that #6,217 still live with the virus and they are corresponding with treatments. You can check it out from here:Ghana Health Service.Org

The fact that Ghana has high recovery rate with the covid 19 pandemic doesn't mean that we are that Ok and we can abuse some of these preventive measures. We can also check the rate at which people are infected with the pandemic. I check last week statistics and it was around #8,000 plus, within few days that this number has increased. The death rate is also low, if out of 9 thousand plus, 48 have died. But one this that we can rely on and be successful in the Vivid 19 pandemic is intensifying the campaign for preventive measures such as wearing of the nose mask, social distancing, and all that.

What is new updates? Now some of the bans have been partially lifted. For instance the ban place on social gathering such as funerals, church meetings, Muslim worships and weddings ceremonies have partially been lifted for people to meet. But just that the number on these gathering have been limited to #100 at each gathering. So, for instance, if churches will meet, it should be #100 members and nothing more above these numbers. But, upon another thought, we fear the consequences that the lifting of this ban could cause. The fear is that, would these members be committed to obey the rules of this number that have been given to them to follow? Unless people are selected to monitor this strictly, I guess many association in the above category wouldn't ensure this rule.

Another thing that still post threat to me is allowing the final year students from the Basic level to Tertiary level to go back to school and write their final Exams papers. If you observe closely in every nation, student are densely populated than any sector. Though allow only final years to go and spend one term reduce the number, yet when you check some institutions like colleges, universities and second cycles, they are many, they whole final years can reach say #5,000. I don't think there would be enough classrooms to ensure wide spaces of individual students. How do you even control them when they are on break moving on campus? The whole thing will be stressful to control if security services are to monitor this.

However, I think people's freedom have been denied for quite long, that is why the Government considered it as being lawful to partially lift the ban to let people regain their freedom for a while. Another area that I guess the Government took this initiative is the effect of this lockdown and quarantine life on productivity of the nation. Other public workers have stayed home for long time. Even some private sectors were closed down during the the lockdown. Others too were running shifts of their workers. I have some colleagues at my local Bank here, they were even affected with this shift system. So, the Covid 19 outbreak has caused a whole lot of losses, but since our health is very important for us, we need to take conscious step in handling it.

Thank you for participating in the contest. It is much appreciated. The case in Ghana as I percieve isn't on the worst side. However, the fear that people will comply to the 100 max gathering in Churches, Mosques, and other vital areas is a big issue. In one of the report I read from another Ghanian through his entry, before reading yours, I discovered that final year students are allowed to go back to school. Well, it's all for the growth of the nation, but it's a risk to take. People cannot continue staying indoor all through, so the only thing we should hope for is a vaccine. Thank you for featuring in the contest. I nearly miss your entry. Please drop the link to your entry in the contest comment for easy access. You are doing a great work for the Ghanians. I can speak a couple of ashanti. You can test me, and trust me, I wont use a google translator. Your post has been curated from the @steemccurator05 account.
