THE DIARY GAME;16/08/2020.The giveaway party!

Hullo diarists, it was a beautiful day for me and my family.so glad I got to share it with you my steemit family.

I woke up at 7am and I prepared my self,after I left for the venue where my sister in laws function was taking place,it was her give away ceremony(its the function where the girl gets to introduce her husband to be to her parents officially)
It took me about an hour and a half to reach there.

Found when they were cleaning the chairs went on to help them after we had to do the decoration ourselves because its a scientific wedding we had invited very few people and we really didn't need the Professional decorators,so we did our best and the place really looked amazing.

By 12pm the makeup artist had started to do make up on the bride and it took her almost 1hour to do the makeup only on the bride,wow!these guys really take there time.

We went ahead to organize where the visitors were going to sit while having there meals and after we wrapped up the gifts that the girl gives to the aunties and parents after that we dressed up and waited for the visitors.

They arrived at around 2pm and the ceremony started.procedure after procedure.
The first step is where they ask them what they have come for and the elder among them gives the reason why they have come, then they are asked to bring the alcohol so that its tasted by one elder to see whether its good alcohol,he keeps tasting different brand until he gets one and says its the best alcohol, and there went the applause!

After that the first group of girls was sent to go and greet the visitors with an aunt heading them and after greeting they are sent back to go and get the bride.

For the second time the group comes with the bride and the groom choose among the girls his bride.they did the engagement,took photos and after the bride and her maids went back inside.we then had lunch at around 3pm by 4pm we were all done with eating.

The elders went ahead to exchange words,after they called the bride with her maids to come out.they came out and the bride gave out gifts to her parents and aunties,after that the bride cut the cake with her brother.

The head of the home gave a speech and thanked the grooms side for not disappointing them.
After group photos were taken and visitors left at around 6:30pm.
Everything was done in time because of carfew in our country which is at 9pm.

It was a small yet nice event with lots of smiles,food and drinks.
