Diary entry: Ici c'est Manchester!!

Hello steemians and diarists, this is my 20^th diary entry for season 3. Today, I was once again happy to be a Manchester United fan and I also attended an evening Christian meeting/service. Let me tell you about it.

I woke up very early in the morning around 5:30 am and had a lengthy morning devotion. I took time to sing hymns today. Two of my favourites are 'Saviour like a shepherd lead us' and 'Sweet hour of prayer'. After my morning devotion, I went about my usual morning chores. Today was quite interesting because it was the start of the new UEFA champions league season and my darling team made it to competition this time around. I however had an evening Christian meeting to attend before that and actually, the Christian meeting was more important to me.

In preparation for the meeting, I need to make amendments to some of my clothes and I had to call a tailor. I gave him the clothes and he amended it.

After the amendments, I had breakfast and went to steem. I was deeply engaged with the ongoing crypto challenge that I was almost late for my Christian meeting. I managed to put up a post before leaving.

While leaving, I noticed that there was a slight road block. It was my neighbor who was still constructing windows and doors with light metals. He has been so busy lately, I said much about him in my previous entries. I took some more pictures of his handiwork before leaving.

The meeting was very inspiring. It was filled with some very vital and important information. I was glad I attended the meeting. The preacher talked about what could be ours from God. He told us that God was willing to bless and he was going to do so as long as we stick to his principles and avoid pitfalls like familiarity, pride, sin etc.

At the end of the service, I went home. I wanted to see Manchester United opening fixture with Paris Saint German which was played at PSG's home turf in Paris, France. The restaurant next door wasn't showing that particular fixture unfortunately for me. I couldn't go anywhere else because it was night. However, the match ended with an away win for Manchester United. It was a match winning display from my favourite team.

Just a quick note on my caption. In PSG's home turf called Parc des Princes, there's an inscription at the top of their stadium that reads 'ici c'est paris' meaning this is Paris. It is a popular tagline among for the club. However, in 2019, Manchester United knocked out PSG from the champions league in a reverse knock-out fixture played in PSG's home turf. From them on, United fans verbally changed the inscription to 'ici c'est' Manchester meaning 'this is Manchester'. Tonight, we laid a strong claim to the change of that inscription by beating them in their home turf again.

The night was a very happy one for me. I went to bed very happy.
