You have learned great lessons from the 2 regrettable mistakes or opportunities that you misjudged or failed to act. About the first case, I can say that you were just human and not superhuman. That trauma is capable of keeping you uncomfortable there and do you know if you could have made bigger mistakes if you had not backed off?
