Mistake knows no age, gender or race! We all make mistakes no matter our experience, it could be untimely action, thoughtless words or simply overlooking something very important or letting it slide. Why do we tend to make mistakes? How can we deal with our mistakes? Can we avoid making mistakes? Can we learn from mistakes? I will answer all these questions in this article so stay connected.

It always comes naturally that we are glad when we do something good, we feel deserved when others acknowledge and praise us. What about when we make mistakes? Even if it's unnoticed by others or unintentional do we take full responsibility for it? It requires humility on our part to acknowledge our mistakes. Yes, our attitude towards mistakes will determine if we can learn from the mistake and grow stronger or if we will keep on repeating them.

I'm not perfect, I mean I'm only human and sometimes I made a mistake, I once spoke thoughtlessly with my husband he did something that makes me very angry so without thinking twice I responded to him in kind, gosh that was bad. I think I was thinking too much of myself and a bit emotional but after cooling down and thinking twice I knew I was wrong so I took full responsibility for my mistakes and apologized, I tried and put things right and keep our friendship intact.

I didn't insist that he was at fault because that would intensify the problem and prolong unnecessary tension. So instead I correct, learn, and then move on! This is just one example, other times I've made poor business investments that makes me lose Money, but in all this, I've learned, corrected and move on.

What I'm I saying? To learn from our mistakes we need to acknowledge and take full responsibility for them, even trivial ones we shouldn't ignore or overlook them completely, doing this will help us to avoid repeating those actions.

Things We Can Do To Reduce Mistakes:

Inadequate knowledge, faulty judgement or not paying attention are the causes of mistakes and as I said before we are all imperfect so we do display any of these traits sometimes, nevertheless our mistakes can be fewer if we apply some timeless principles:

1) Pay attention before replying to a matter, always hear things out and respond accordingly this will prevent you from speaking rashly or acting at the pulse of the moment. Always pay close attention and think beyond the surface of the matter before you speak, doing this will avert faulty judgement and making mistakes. ~ Proverbs 18: 13.

2) Trying to be peaceable with everyone, and trying our best to promote peace and cooperation will help us to avoid making mistakes. We should be respectful and considerate when working with others and we should endeavour to encourage and commend them. Doing this will prevent thoughtless speech or actions or possibly be forgiven. ~ Romans 12:18.

My Advice For Those Who Think That Mistakes Are Failures:

Mistakes can only be failures depending on how you react to them. Learn how to turn your mistakes into positive experiences, by not finding an excuse for your actions or words, see it as an opportunity to grow, and develop positive qualities in yourself. It's normal to feel bad when you make mistakes but don't dwell on that, don't see yourself as a failure, be Patience with yourself and be determined not to repeat it. Cultivate self-control, kindness, peace, mildness and love but most importantly learn what not to do if a situation like that arises next time. Don't think too much of yourself, and develop a good sense of humour it will help you to ease tension. You are a champ!

Conclusions:

We should have a proper view of mistakes as this will help us to cope properly with them, we need to be at peace with ourselves and others too. Learning from mistakes will make us better and wiser, we won't become so downhearted or think so badly of ourselves. Accept that others can make mistakes and learn to forgive them freely. Yes, we will always make mistakes, let's learn from them, remember the lessons and forget the mistake. Thank you!

So true,

Even if it's unnoticed by others or unintentional do we take full responsibility for it? It requires humility on our part to acknowledge our mistakes.

Even if no one else knows we know it for sure and if get to learn something from it, what's better than that.

You grab the context idea friend! Thanks for visiting me

You are very right, friend, we must be humble to admit our mistakes, my husband and I have also had arguments as a couple, but the truth is that when we learn to recognize and know how to take control of our emotions, we will control our attitude more towards the things that rob us of our peace as are the mistakes, and it is that the truth is not measured, by size, sex, color, or what I know, because we understand that we all make mistakes because we are not perfect. Good for you friend. Blessings.
