Steemit Engagement Challenge S7W1: The work of my dreams

Thanks to my friend @josevas217 who brought me to this contest where I shall have the opportunity to tell you all about my journey as a writer. I have done exactly what William S. Burroughs says.

“You do an awful lot of bad writing in order to do any good writing. Incredibly bad. I think it would be very interesting to make a collection of some of the worst writing by good writers.”

Someone has rightly said that "when you give more importance to your dreams than your fears, miracles can happen." Dreams are necessary, but they can only come true if you dream big with all your heart. Only then will you be able to achieve your big dream.

As students, we dream of scoring good marks, making good friends, getting support from family, and making it big in life, and we think about our future dreams. Like others, I too dreamed big and wanted to be a sportsman and write stories.

Dreams play an important role in shaping our future. It is rightly said that "dreams play a big role in achieving your targets in real life." So if you have a dream, then set it as your goal and work hard to achieve it. Though it is much easier to say than to do, if you really work hard to achieve it, you will surely be able to do so.

So, like many others who want to advance their careers and fly high in the sky, I had a few dreams as a writer since I was a child. In fact, I wanted to become a sportsman and a writer, and when I began a traveling career as a marketing professional and traveled in different countries, I wanted to write and publish a best-seller travel book.

  
However, that was not to be, as my father wanted me to become an engineer like himself. I am a peace-loving person, but that doesn't mean I'm an introvert and don't like to open up to everyone, so I told my father about my dreams. He immediately disapproved of them. But did that stop me? Yes, it did, but only for a short while. ᶦᵐᵃᵍᵉˢ ᶦⁿ ᵃ ᵈᶦˢᵗᵃⁿᵗ ᶜᵒᵘⁿᵗʳʸ

I know how to express my feelings, and I have discovered in the last few years that I am good at writing fiction as well. I completed my engineering and management degrees, but that writer was sitting somewhere inside me, so I started writing technical and management-related articles.

Whenever I was alone, I always thought, was it really worth my time? But I immediately got rid of these feelings, as they made me even more determined to become a writer. But I soon realized that writing was not as easy as I thought. However, I started writing for local newspapers and magazines at a young age and found it a good way to release my stress. That's how I started writing.

Later, when I started writing on Steemit, I found that I could write about different topics, although I'm not good at cryptocurrency-related topics. However, I am hopeful because one learns them gradually, so I will do that as well.

Being a marketing professional, it was not at all difficult for me to communicate, interact, and convince people of my views, but it was not so easy for me to write. But things are improving now, and writing has become a way of life for me. In fact, it has become more than a passion for me now, and I want to make it part of my professional life.

Apart from writing management-related and technical posts, I also love to write stories and will soon be writing my own travel book. My wife is completely supportive of my travel book, although she doesn't like my involvement in online writing.

After only pursuing career goals and becoming a professional at some point in our lives, I still found myself wanting. That's why it's important for me to combine my dream of being successful professionally with my desire to be a writer. I was willing to work hard to achieve these goals in order to make my dream career a reality. However, the layoff provided me with the opportunity, but I probably missed at least one year of getting started. But as they say, "Better late than never." I am writing now and making slow progress toward my desired goal.

  
"In a wider perspective, I am willing to take a big view to make my life successful because I can become what I think about." Yes, our thoughts and dreams have the power to make our dreams a reality if we believe in them and work diligently to achieve them. I did that, and I did it honestly, and to top it all off, my destiny was pulling me in that direction.

I dream of love, success, and an abundance of money, although money is not the primary object at this point in time, and I am more than sure one day I will be able to achieve them all. I will go back to my job, but I am sure I will pursue my career in writing, as it has given me a lot of peace of mind.
