@muzack1, From what has been said, your mother was practically mother and father at the same time, and she was in charge of supporting you and giving you your education since your father was away from home because of his work.

I see you also made a great effort to obtain your degree, since you had to travel a great number of kilometers every day to get to the educational institution where you studied.

Of course your mother there supporting you and encouraging you to achieve your goal.
