Crypto Bloodbath And Bull Run
In recent times we are witnesing the decline in the value of some cryptocurrencies. Some people respond with anxiety and panic to the thought of the losses they have made on their investment in the digital coins, while others are optimistic and excited that this is the right time to enter the market and start investing or adding value to their investments in coins. The situation in which the price of many digital coins has plummeted is known as cryptocurrency bloodbath.
Crypto bloodbath is the opposite of what is known as a bull run. To put it simply, a bull run in the world of cryptocurrencies is a term to describe a situation in which the market gets strong confidence for a long period of time so that coin prices increase and stay high for such a long time.

At that time the STEEM price reached over 19,000 IDR (USD1.32) on 12 April. Meanwhile, SBD reached prices above IDR180,000.- (USD12.45) on April 10. And TRX reached a value above IDR2,400.- (USD0.166) on April 16.

The four price charts show how the prices of the three coins (STEEM, SBD, TRX) were quite affected by the increasing of BTC prices. But when the price of BTC fell, STEEM had "fought", as well as TRX which seemed to find new stability when BTC experienced a price decline after previously causing a bull run. So, the theory that the Bitcoin price movement affects other digital coins also has a point, but we must also be open to the opinion that the price of coins is not solely influenced by Bitcoin price movements, it is only a variable, a strong one.

Banjir Darah Mata Uang Kripto Dan “Pacuan Banteng”
Belakangan ini kita menyaksikan merosotnya nilai mata-mata uang kripto. Sebagian orang menanggapinya dengan gelisah dan panik karena membayangkan kerugian yang dihadapi atas investasi yang telah mereka lakukan terhadap koin-koin digital itu, sementara lainnya merasa optimis dan bersemangat bahwa ini adalah saat yang tepat untuk memasuki pasar dan mulai berinvestasi atau menambah nilai investasi pada koin-koin tersebut. Keadaan di mana merosotnya harga banyak koin digital secara drastis disebut dengan istilah cryptocurrency bloodbath atau dalam bahasa Indonesianya bisa diterjemahkan menjadi kira-kira, “banjir darah mata uang kripto”.
Crypto bloodbath adalah kebalikan kepada apa yang disebut dengan istilah bull run. Sederhananya, bull run dalam dunia mata uang digital adalah istilah untuk menyebutkan suatu keadaan di mana pasar mendapatkan kepercayaan yang kuat untuk jangka waktu yang panjang sehingga harga-harga koin meningkat dan bertahan di harga tinggi untuk waktu yang lama.
Kenapa Terjadinya Banjir Darah dan Pacuan Banteng?
Beberapa hal disebutkan menjadi penyebab kepada kedua keadaan ini. Website goodreturns.in dalam artikel mereka berjudul What Are The Major Factors Affecting Bitcoin's Price? yang dipublikasikan pada 17 Maret 2021 menyebutkan beberapa hal yang mungkin mempengaruhi harga Bitcoin (dan karena Bitcoin adalah mata uang digital terdesentralisasi yang digunakan secara luas dan saat artikel ini diperisapkan memiliki tingkat dominance1 pada angka 40.04%, maka itu juga sangat mungkin mempengaruhi harga koin-koin lainnya):
- Pasokan dan Permintaan Bitcoin. Ini adalah hukum dasar dalam ilmu ekonomi. Beberapa teori dalam hukum dasar pasokan dan permintaan ini adalah, “makin banyak barang tersedia untuk diperjualbelikan, maka harganya main murah, dan sebaliknya”, “makin banyak permintaan terhadap suatu barang, maka harganya semakin mahal, dan sebaliknya”. Dengan dua hukum dasar ini, pasar akan menciptakan “keseimbangannya”, dalam dunia crypto, perjalanan menuju “keseimbangan” itu akan melalui fase yang disebut “crypto bloodbath” atau “bull run”.
- Aturan dan Regulasi Bitcoin. Jika aturan dan regulasi bergerak ke arah yang semakin “ketat” (memberatkan), maka nilai Bitcoin akan terkoreksi ke arah negatif (merosot). Begitu juga sebaliknya, jika aturan dan regulasi terhadap Bitcoin “longgar” maka permintaan terhadapnya juga akan meningkat sehingga harga juga akan bergerak ke arah positif.
- Kekuatan Media. Media terbukti memiliki peran penting dalam memperkenalkan Bitcoin secara lebih luas kepada masyarakat. Semakin ramai orang mengetahui tentang Bitcoin dan rekam jejaknya, semakin ramai pula yang memutuskan untuk menjadi investor. Berita positif tentang Bitcoin bisa dipastikan akan mendongkrak keprecayaan publik dan karenanya harga Bitcoin juga ikut naik. Begitu juga berita negatif.
- Kompetisi. Bitcoin adalah mata uang kripto pertama yang pernah diciptakan. Dan karenanya pada masa kehadirannya, Bitcoin memiliki angka dominance pada 100%. Perkembangan teknologi blockchain yang diprakarsai Bitcoin telah melahirkan banyak mata uang kripto pada saat ini sehingga ketika artikel ini ditulis, angka dominance Bitcoin telah merosot pada 40,04% namun tetap mendudukkan Bitcoin pada peringkat pertama seban 60% dominance harus dibagi oleh ribuan mata uang kripto lain dengan Ethereum mendapatkan jatah 19,2% dari sisa tersebut.
- Penambangan BTC. Penambangan Bitcoin akan menyebabkan penambahan jumlah Bitcoin yang tersedia. Penambangan Bitcoin sendiri harus mematuhi aturan-aturan di dalam protokol Bitcoin yang di anataranya adalah: laju penambangan yang akan menghasilkan Bitcoin baru akan semakin lama semakin lambat, ada jumlah tertinggi Bitcoin yang boleh diproduksi, biaya untuk melakukan penambangan akan mempengaruhi harga Bitcoin.
Mungkin apa yang disebutkan di dalam artikel tersebut tidak mencakup semua variabel yang mempengaruhi nilai Bitcoin (dan juga mata uang kripto lainnya), tetapi secara garis besar kita sudah bisa menangkap gambarannya.
Dampak Harga Bitcoin Terhadap STEEM, SBD, TRX
Karena Bitcoin adalah mata uang digital yang paling dominan (digunakan secara luas) dengan angka dominance saat ini mencapai lebih dari 40%, maka apa yang menimpa Bitcoin seringkali juga akan membawa dampak pada mata uang kripto lainnya. Jika Bitcoin bergerak ke arah positif, dipastikan banyak mata uang akan mengikuti trend tersebut, begitu juga sebaliknya. Tetapi tidak semua mata uang terlihat mengikuti trend harga Bitcoin.
Nilai koin-koin seperti STEEM dan SBD serta TRX yang populer di kalangan Steemian, menurut amatan saya selama ini termasuk yang mengikuti trend pergerakan harga Bitcoin. Ketika pada awal April lalu Bitcoin mengalami periode bull run dan puncaknya pada 14 April dengan harga sekitar 903 juta rupiah, harga ketiga mata uang tersebut juga terdongkrak tinggi. Pada saat itu harga STEEM mencapai lebih dari 19.000 rupiah pada tanggal 12 April. Sementara SBD sempat mencapai harga di atas 180.000 rupiah pada 10 April. Dan TRX mencapai nilai di atas 2.400 rupiah pada 16 April.
Tetapi tidak selalu harus demikian, diagram pergerakan harga keempat mata uang digital tersebut berikut ini menarik untuk diamati. (Catatan: Semua diagram diambil dari coingecko.com)
Dalam empat diagram pergerakan harga di atas terlihat bagaimana harga ketiga koin (STEEM, SBD, TRX) lumayan terpengaruh dengan kenaikan harga BTC. Tetapi saat harga BTC merosot, STEEM pernah “melawan arah” demikian juga dengan TRX yang sepertinya justru menemukan kestabilan baru saat BTC mengalami kemerosotan harga setelah sebelumnya menyebabkan bull run. Jadi, teori yang menyebutkan pergerakan harga Bitcoin mempengaruhi juga koin-koin digital lainnya itu ada benarnya, tetapi kita juga harus terbuka pada pendapat bahwa harga koin-koin tidak semata-mata dipengaruhi oleh pergerakan harga Bitcoin, itu hanya sebuah variabel saja, salah satu yang kuat.
