Today, holy cow, did I apparently sleep in. @silvertop says I sleep like the dead! Anyway, I didn’t get up until embarrassingly late. I haven’t slept this late since I was a teenager!
So a late start was on for the day. After a bunch of trying to make sense out of senseless blockchain proposals, it was well into the afternoon. We scrapped the plans to go to town until tomorrow and headed out for a hike instead.
It was a glorious day for a hike! Perfect weather! We were down in Bear Hollow and as you’ve heard me comment about the early fall leaves, I came across this absolutely HUGE Big Leaf Maple. To give some scale, I had @silvertop put his hand in the picture.
That is one big leaf! So, I picked it up to take along because I knew the spot @actifit-lamb wanted her picture taken today at.
We continued on and at one point we got separated from each other. I took the lower loop of Buckhorn Loop and @silvertop took the upper loop of it. If he’d not just lag behind......lol! Anyway, I ran into this young owl perched in a tree.
Coming back down, we were near the pond when I spotted this feathery cloud.
A bit of an unusual day, but nice nonetheless!
