My Actifit Report Card: August 4 2020
Woke to another clear blue sky day.
Cleared away some chores and took chance to drive to top end of local National Park to look for wax lip orchids and sun orchids.
First sight of patersonia lily suggests to me the likelihood of finding sun orchids. There was one sun orchid not far away but not quite flowering.
Brush turkey was bold right there - walked right up to 1 metre of me and walked around to the path behind.
Walked the track away from toll point and found small wax lip orchid = first for this season.
Walked the length of the track hoping to find donkey orchids and ladies fingers but too early for those. Lots of wax lips - glossodia minor
Headed along the track parallel to the road looking for caladenia alata. Also too early. Took a side path heading to the edge of the cliffs which I have not walked before.
Heard a wallaby moving and looked across to see this sun orchid fully open. Thelymitra ixioides. Bonus

Walked further - lots of Sydney boronia.
Quite a few pink wax flowers. Was patient enough to get a bee feeding.
A few wax lips this side but not as many
Love the spider grevillea
And mimosa flower so close to Wattle Day - August 1.
Not sure what this white flower is - about the size of a nickel.
Did find one more sun orchid in bud
Great walk out - did some shopping on the way home.

The patersonia lilies are stunning with its popping purple but so are all the other flowers too, especially the orchids. Excellent shots.
