I actually don't know the name of the flower in English, but we call it Aleyaho in Housa language. Its one of the flowers I grew up to see around our house, and I so much love it fragrance. Although the flower don't adopt to hot whether, it always grow on its own once its rainy season.

What are the uses of the plant or flower?

Actually, the uses of Aleyaho flower are so numerous. On different occasions, I have seen people use it as traditional medicine. People mix it with ginger to cure some skin desease. More to that, its use for beautification of environment. People so much respect the flower because of it fragrance.

Does it add any value to your environment?

Well, I might be wrong to say it doesn't add value. As I said earlier, its beautify the environment, and people use it as medicine. As such, its of great value to the environment. Before I forget, I was once told that snakes don't stay near the flower. I think thats also a great value.

Do you plant it in your environment ?

Personally, I have never planted it. But I do see my mum planting them around our compound in order to prevent snakes from staying around. Moreover, sometimes they grow naturally. But I never planted them.

In conclusion, Aleyaho flower is one of my favorite flower, and I love it because of it fragrance, and how much it beautify the environment.

Thank you for reading.

I invite @yakspeace, @joymm, and @micheal-akpan to participate.
