Am @saintkelvin17 and am a Nigerian. Am excited I have finally seen a better opportunity to post in this community as this is my first time in posting here. This contest theme about forgiveness is very good and has good morals so I decided to participate in this particular contest. Special thanks to @hive-190211 for creating this contest.
What does forgiveness mean to you?
Forgiveness means letting go, is the act of forgiving someone for the wrong thing they have done to us. To forgive, we need to accept the apologies of those that has wronged us and also live together with them with peace in our hearts.
Most people often say Forgive and forget but few has decided never to forget but they will forgive. If our enemy wrong us and they apologize to us, is good to forgive them but don't give them the whole trust you gave them before they offended you.

I know of a movie where a lady apologized to her friend she offended and after much crying from the both of them, the lady's friend forgave and the lady went to bring two cup of drinks and have one to her friend as s celebration of their reunion. The friend foolishly trusted the lady and drank her drink she never knew was poisoned. This lady began to feel the pains and die in front of her friend laughing at her. We need to be wise.
In your childhood, do you remember your parents forgiving you for any mischief? Tell us about it.
Yes I remember and they are quite many but I will briefly talk about one of them. I remember the day I was ironing my father's cloth and I wasn't concentrating as I was watching television and also pressing phone at the same time. My father was going to a special event the following day and he told me to iron his favorite t-shirt.
I left the iron on top the cloth and went to take something in my room, I saw my younger brother watching an interesting movie in his phone, it was an action movie and the part I came across was an exciting fighting scene. I got interested and sat closed to my brother and asked him what the movie was all about.

Few minutes later I remembered I was still ironing, I shouted and ran straight to the sitting room to the extent my brother got scared and followed me, the t-shirt was burnt and I knew I was dead. My parents discovered this and dealt with me mercilessly, I didn't eat lunch and dinner that day but to my greatest surprise they forgave me in the next morning. My parents forgive my siblings and I alot.
Do you consider yourself to be a grudging person?
No I don't, am always free and cool, I don't grumble or complain about things or situations, I learn to appreciate any little thing I get it see. Am also willing to give out things I know i no longer use or I have double and someone really need one. I have a forgiving spirit and you know guys right, we forgive faster than ladies. I always forgive my siblings and few friends who offend me but the smaller the offense, the fastest the forgiveness.
Tell us a brief story or anecdote, where it was your turn to ask for forgiveness or, on the contrary, where you were asked for forgiveness.
One Sunday afternoon in the month of July this year, I gave my sister my phone to take pictures with her friends in our neighborhood, I was watching tv then only for my sister to enter the house and drop the bombshell saying that she mistakenly hand-flash my phone. I jumped up from the sofa and dragged my phone from her hands, she began apologizing and I shouted at her.
I was so furious that day, I didn't even touch her as I left her and wasn't listening to her pleads. I sat on the bed in my room and felt like crying. I left the room and forgave my sister but gave her few temporary restrictions. I stopped panicking and began to sort out ways to fix the phone, all I was seeing was Chinese write up so I began pressing them till the same restart and I was surprised it came back to normal. Thanks for reading.

Saludos amigo.
Thanks so much for your comment ma, is not easy to forgive those that has offended us but we need to try out best to ensure everyone is happy. Do have a nice day.
The moral of the story... parents love their children so much that they will always forgive them.
Sometimes it just takes a bit longer than other times. (•ิ‿•ิ)
Forgiveness is a word that can take you far in life.
