An unforgettable memory of SUMMER 2021 in #SaturdayMemories | Dooars trip on summer 2021 memories
This post is about our family vacation in summer 2021. We went to Dooars during March 2021.
Although I had few trips last year, My mom and younger brother completely stayed at home since our trip to Bandhabgarh National Park in March 2020. For themmThis Dooars trip was a freedom from daily monotonous life.
On our way to Holong Bunglow
We started our journey from our hometown Kolkata by an overnight train to Falakata on 26 March. We reached Falakata next day morning at 10am. From the station, we hired a car to drop us at Holong.

Holong is the most popular and most demanded forest rest house in our state - West Bengal. It gets booked within minutes as soon as the online booking opens at 30 days advance. I had to stay awake till 12:00 midnight to book the room.

Holong bunglow is amidst the jungle. There are electric wire with low voltage current to keep the wild animals away from the bunglow. There is a big common room with big window for wildlife watching. We have seen bison, deer, rhinoceros, elephant, peacock and jungle foul.

Staying in Holong is like staying in a watchtower - with finger-licking food.
Sudden meeting with Ambar, my office colleague
We checked out from Holong next Sunday and we had day long sightseeing to Murti river, Jhalong, Bindu, Laliguras and finally board overnight train with a heavy heart and promise to come back soon.

In India, we had nationwide lockdown starting from 22 March 2020 - which is summer here. Hence, no trip !!
