Hello my dear Steemians,

Our Trip to a Zoo in the Netherlands

it was some time ago when we visited Zoo, when people have young children Zoo is one of the place where parents go often, so that they can see the wild animals so close.

Remember myself when I was a child and we went to Zoo, that was very impressive and I did not want to leave, it was like on Safari, the same time we could have some ice cream and do little picnic and that made such trip memorable for me.

When our child was 6 years old we decided to visit one of the Centre Parks in Netherlands and while being there we visited a Zoo "Wild Land" that was not far from the Centre Parks and luckily we were with car so we mobile to visit places around.

Zoo: who is observer here?

Have you ever noticed that while walking through Zoo, especially when there are a large areas of free space for wild animal to move about and there is no metal grids separating animals and human, but for examples, water canals, bushes or wooden fence.

The places where where you can come close to animals and see how they behave in free space.

What I noticed that once you approach predators, they have you in their sight and stare at you, observing what you are doing they fix their eyes on you and it is even feels very weird like they are reading your mind.

What also you can notice that the animals in small Zoo where they sit in small cells are got crazy and running from side to side, they do not have space for them and who knows if they also can have a feeling of claustrophobia. I can imagine that some animals can have it.

The at is why I like to visit open Zoos with large territory to see happier animals. In general I still have a feeling that animals would prefer to be free.

Welcome to my favourites:

Camel is this is an animal that I really love and amazed with their ability to survive many days without drinking water. That is why they are the best transport in desert. They have flat and wide soles and that helps them to cross sandy deserts without much trouble.

Also, for people living in Steppe and Deserts these animals are source of milk. The camel milk has its own healthy strength, that help not to feel thirty in hot weather, has a lot of minerals.

You ca see that those animals have such long hair and that is also something that is used to create warm clothes for people.

Rhinoceros are very impressive due to their size and the thickness of their skin, but some of people who hunt wild animals like to have their horns.

Seeing them in Zoo, they relaxing on sun but they can be very fast too if needed.

Pelicans are very cute, especially when they get some fishes in their beak pouch, that is something that I was very impressed as a child, because none of other animals had the same.

SG100538.jpg

Giraffe are animals that we had to visit, they have their long neck and can reach greens on tall trees. They are still very cute and I love to see how gorgeous and magnificent they walk. From cartoons we often see how such giraffe will be shown wearing a long scarf like they have a cold. That is an image that always comes up in my mind when I think about giraffe.

Another photo of the king of predators, who is coming to drink some water, you can see how he is still keeping us in his sight.

SG100544.jpg

Couple of cute penguins, it is like one is giving a kiss to another one, was glad that we manage to capture this moment.

SG100547.jpg

Of course, I had to include primates and this one is orangutan, we have a lot of similarity with them but I am still not really convinced in Darwin's theory that human is originating from primates, but might never find it if it is a true or not.

Yes, In many developed countries, Wildlife administrations made the Safari Parks for the Animal lovers and tourists who have great enthusiasm to see the animals live and from very close to their side. It's pleasure to know that you are used to visit zoo from your childhood time and still have a great trip in your own car with you kids. Yes, Northern land is also famous for the zoo lovers. That's the amazing and irresistible photo you have captured and shared to us. Definitely, it will be fun day of your life.

I haven't been to the zoo in years…probably at least 10 years. I like the photos @stef1.

MODs/Admins' Observation:
Your description of how predators like lions fix their gaze on visitors and seem to be observing them closely is both fascinating and a bit eerie. It's interesting to see animals in a more spacious and natural setting where they can move freely, as opposed to being confined in small cells.😱

Greetings ,
Dear @stef1 friends
I saw every animal in your Netherlands zoo, you captured pictures of every animal on mobile very nicely, especially the two penguins. I like the pictures very much, an expression of both love.
Also, the image of the orangutan you captured looks like he's quite worried.
The sight of lions drinking water this summer season is truly remarkable. But I am surprised to think, how did you capture this picture of the lion?
Pretty cute pelican, she's swimming in clean clear water and every time you're about to capture her on a mobile, she's just looking at you in a picture-taking style .When will you capture his image on camera.
In a word, I like zoo. Animals If we can give their animals a habitat suitable for them to live in, they can survive in that environment.
