Travelling is an enjoyable expedition. When it is well planned in advance and well organized. It is always an awesome experience.

Many people all over the world enjoy travelling. It provides them with the opportunity to explore some other parts of life they have not been used to.

This contest with the topic Solo vs Group in Travel by @travelingsteem community is going to explore more on whether I love traveling all or as a group.

The contest tips will provide guidance on the areas that requires my attention.

Your choice for travel alone or group: state your reasons by listing advantages and disadvantages.

It is quite true that many even I sometimes like to travel alone. But I prefer and enjoy traveling with a group of persons, especially close family members and friends.

Advantages of traveling as a group.

There are so many advantages of traveling as a group.

° Right from the planning stage. You do not do it alone. There are other people nearby that picks some special spots, hotels, recreations sites and other attractive places that you may not have identified if you are doing it alone.

° Unlike when you travel alone, where only you witnessed some beautiful places and memories, this time, you have many that witness those amazing places and shares such wonderful memories with you. Looking back at the photographs with friends is far better and brings positivity to your life.

° Traveling in a group offers you a better value in terms of traveling cost. We spend less when we travel in groups . There are always discounts given when traveling in groups. On few occasions when I traveled with groups of Christian brothers and sisters for special preaching campaign called unassigned territory witnessing group, the total expenses was shared because we were going to use somethings in common like cooking and accomodations. This made the travelling cost effective unlike if I had wanted to travel to that location alone. So it is really cost effective.

° An individual can actually make new and lifelong friends by traveling in group. These friends can come from several places but have the same interest. Such friends when made is usually fantastic.

° When we travel as a group, it help us to come out of our comfort zone. We find it easy to try out new things, breaking our boundaries so to speak. It helps us to see a better part of ourself and that of others traveling with us.

° It creates an atmosphere of safety knowing that you are not alone but with fellow travellers in an area.

These are some of the advantages of traveling in a group.

Disadvantages

° You will definitely have less flexibility since most decisions you will take will take into account others traveling with you.

° you will have to make some compromises to ensure peace relations within the group traveling with you.

° There are certain restrictions you cannot avoid when traveling as a group. There are instructions like, when to come out at the lobby, when to come for breakfast and lunch, etc, and you have to be there even though it might not suit your kind of person.

° there is the possibility of money becoming a debated topic if such are not done before the trip.

° There is the tendency for the members of the group to have personality clashes which may have been avoided by traveling alone.

The difference you experience on general costs by traveling in these modalities.

When a person is traveling alone, the cost is always higher compared to that of traveling as a group.

When you travel as a group there are certain discounts that you will have either in the hotel accomodations cost, flight tickets and other services which may be rendered by the travelling agency.

For the case for going in group: which people would you like to take with you in the trip? Alone: which activities will you do?

I woul like to go with my immediate family, some members of the extended family and some loyal friends.

We will engage in activities like playing football, dancing, listening to traditional musics of the place we went to, enjoy their local dishes together, relate experiences that can benefit all in the group. Play both indoor and outdoor games, share and eat meats together.etc.

As recommendations: What are the best spots for you to travel in group/alone?

I would like to travel to France with my traveling group and visit the Eiffel Towers, The Iron Lady, the Notre Dame , you have the French Alps, their wonderful cuisines, the Museums, Art Galleries, etc.

Conclusion

Traveling in a group will give you the best experience you can imagine. However, of you are the type that likes to play solo, or just needed time for yourself, you can enjoy the trave alone.
