Trip To Vaishno Devi
Hello Everyone!
On Saturday evening, while having tea with my family, we decided to go to some religious place. We were trying to decide between Kashi in Uttar Pradesh or Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir. Then we finally settled for the latter and started looking for train tickets. However, all of the tickets were full. But we randomly booked 9 tickets on waiting list, hoping that they will get confirmed by the day of our journey. And luckily, that’s what happened. All tickets got confirmed at 11 pm.
On Monday morning, we woke up at 3:30 am and left for the station at 4:45 am. As we reached the station, we came to know that the train was delayed by an hour. We reached Katra, Jammu and Kashmir at 7 pm.

Then, we checked into a hotel named, “Ambika”. I’m sharing some photos below.
The next morning, we started to climb toward the temple, located at the top of a hill, around 11 km from the base.
There was a huge crowd, so we all walked hand in hand because if one person got lost in the crowd, it would be very difficult to find them again. As we reached the temple, there was a queue that was strictly controlled by guards. We worshipped goddess Vaishno Devi around 10 am. Then, we went for breakfast at Sagar Ratan and from there we joined another queue to worship lord Bhairav. To get to this second temple, we had to travel by cable car. We worshiped lord Bhairav around 2:30 pm. From there, we decided to go back by helicopter, and for that, we needed to go to the helipad which was 3 km away. And, while walking toward the helipad, a monkey snatched my water bottle and cold coffee :-p
This was my first time in a helicopter which lasted for around 3 minutes only. After reaching the hotel, we all were exhausted, and so, we rested for a while and then went to have dinner in a restaurant named Rajasthani and Gujarati. The food was amazing and my heart was happy after eating such good food after a tiring day.
Then, we checked out from the hotel and went to the station as our train was at 11:30 pm. We reached home at Wednesday 10:30 am.

You have made a very good post and captured very beautiful places in pictures.You mentioned in your post that you are only sitting on a helicopter for three minutes. It will be great because many people want to do such a trip but they can't because they can't afford it or they don't have such a facility. I am one of them.
