BUWAN NG WIKA PRESENTS THE LITTLE LAKAN AT LAKAMBINI
Good day steemians!
Last month August, the Elementary school where my daughter studier had a culmination of their Buwan ng Wika. Buwan ng Wika is a month-long celebration every August where in they observe Filipino language and Filipino custumes. This is for the learners to know our nationality.
And my daughter's school had their culmination last friday wherein they were asked to wear any filipino attire. Good thing my cousin had this cute and bonggacious filipiniana fitted to my daughter. While wearing it my daughter felt like she was a princess. The registration of this activity is 100php, the money they collected will be use to buy prices of the said activity, they will also use a part of it for the backdraft of the stage and most of the funds will be used for beautification of the school.
The event was held at the school stage and started around 1pm and ended at 5pm. On the said activity, each grade level will have the chance to walk on the stage, make a pose and go down and go near the judges and pose again. Every after the grade level, the judges will be choosing 1 pair of best in costume which will compete to the chosen best in costume in other grade level. My daughter wasnt picked but I am still so happy seeing Matheena walking down the stage and because of the said activity, there were many learners who will boost their confidence. This is a bit costly, because you still have to rent a gown but the experience of the kids were superb.
