SEC S10W1: A gift to myself
Gifts are the best things that a person can get from someone else or for yourself at a particular moment. Everyone has different types of gifts that they appreciate, some material, some emotional, and some achievements. For me, if I were to give myself a gift, or request a gift, it would be anything that has to do with achievements. So, join me as I tell you about what I would love to gift to myself.
What gift would you give yourself?
If I were to give myself a gift, which I would do in the future, it will be to become a medical practitioner. A gift for me is anything that has to do with achieving my ambitions and goals. Any contribution to my ambition is something that will make me happy. In my quest to become a medical practitioner, anything that will help me achieve this ambition will make me happy. From a textbook, materials, or anything financial that has to do with helping me achieve this goal is a gift for me, but the major gift I would want, is to achieve my dream of being a certified nurse is going to be a dream come true and the best gift I will give to myself.
Would owning it make your life easier? Tell us the reason
Since my gift is intangible, it would not only be beneficial to me but to a lot of people in my country and people outside my country. Being a medical practitioner would make my life easier as there is a burden on my mind to be able to help people will be achieved. With this, I will be a fulfilled person seeing that I have been able to achieve my ambitions and beat my expectations.
How much does this gift cost in your country? You can take the price to steem.
Currently, to get my desired gift, it would cost me energy, time, brain tasking, and money. The money will be in terms of getting books, paying fees, practicals, project and any other thing that relates to finance. Currently, my dad made me happy by paying for my fees to attend JUPEB program which would help me write the exams needed to study nursing. The program cost 800,000 (Eight Hundred Thousand Naira only). This is about $1900 following the official 410 naira per 1 dollar which will be equivalent to 5974 STEEM. This is still the best gift I have gotten this year, and I will be getting more gifts in the future. The total amount I would spend to get the gift I want is currently unknown but I will be spending in thousands of dollars to get my gift.
Does steemit help you save for what you want so much?
Steemit is a rare gem when it comes to the blockchain and cryptocurrency. Its importance cannot be underestimated. It is a great place to learn and it is a great place to earn. Without any doubt, steemit is helping save for my gift. In fact, I would include Steemit to my appreciation note in the future when I get the gift. Steemit is beautiful and it is capable of helping me save for my gift.
What other gifts have you given yourself before?
There was a time a got an original copy of a best selling author book for myself. Actually, I wanted to get it from my mentor who told me he paid a huge amount for the manuscript but then, I was willing to serve him for one year just to have the book. He decided to give me a trial, if I would actually keep to my word. I started it and on the third month, he gave it to me saying he never thought I would scale through the first month. I am someone who is attracted to intellectual gifts, so the book gift meant a lot to me.

That was simply my thoughts too in gifting oneself. I've heard this zeal to to further my studies abroad but limited by finances due to the high cost. However, yours seems yo be in line given the intangible gift in view. Becoming a medical practitioner is one skill that serves the public and as well satisfies the service giver.
