Hi everyone I hope you all are doing great. Today I am excited to share my points to #comunidadlatina community on my favourite topic #mycountryisuniquebecauseofthis. As you all know I am from Pakistan and today I am going to talk about its historical city known as Harappa.

What is that place that you think makes your country unique and why?

The Harappa is that city which makes Pakistan unique because its origin lies in the ancient civilization known as the Indus Valley Civilization. Harappa was one of the major urban centers of this civilization.
It is famous for being the first rediscovered city of the Indus River Valley Civilization. It was discovered by Dayaram Sahni in 1921. This civilization is wide spread over large part of western region of Indian subcontinant. Its earliest roots can be found from 7000 BC in Mehrgarh but its peak period is 2500 to 1900 BC. It declined in 1300BC.

When did you go? Is it free or do you have to pay for an entrance fee?

I visited Harappa a decade ago and it was like stepping into a time machine. walking through the ancient streets, I imagined the busy life of its peoples. The artifacts like pottery and seals, whispered stories of trade and, culture. Harappas ruins stood as a silent but powerful reminder of the civilization that once thrived there. I also visited the meuseum their and learned about their history and its culture. The entry to the Harappa city was free but the entry to the meuseum was not free. I payed some of around about 100 PKR at that time.

Would you go again? Who would you take there?

Yes i would like to go there again because at that time I was so young to understand many things. I want to revisit Harappa to delve deeper into its mysteries and, uncover more about the its civilization. The allure of exploring the rich history from its urban planning to its cultural artifacts. Moreover, as archaeological discoveries are continue to shed new light on Harappas past, revisit the sight will offer fresh insights and experiences. I would take my parents with me as it would open new stories, experiences and learning from both sides.

Were there people there? Did you interact with them?

Yes, there were many people visiting there and exploring the history. They all were very excited to know about its history. There were many people who were guiding us all, telling the history and making sure that it was understandable to all. Yes I interacted with the people who were guiding us and asked them about civilization and history. I also interacted with the local people of that area. They were really nice, humble and cooperative.
