Greetings dear beautiful women of this club. It is a pleasure to write once more and to also participate in this wonderful contest organised by @steemwomensclub. My post shall be about how I take care of my hair in between wash days.
How to moisturise and refresh hair for maximum length retention
Hair is a very delicate part of the body that needs to be handled with care. Something peculiar about my hair is that it easily dries up causing it to break. So in order to reduce this breakage and grow my hair long, I'm working on retaining all the length I'm getting.
It should be noted that my hair is currently two years old. Two years because in the English speaking part of my country, we are all required to shave our hair throughout secondary school. The only exception to this are moslems. So I basically grew my hair from scratch.
Requirements
- Leave in conditioner
- Hair growth oil
- Wide tooth comb
Procedure
- The first thing I did was to take out my hair from the two flat twists I was sporting.
- After that was done, I sectioned a part of my hair.
I then sprayed in my leave in conditioner and massaged it into the sectioned part detangling with my fingers as well. This leave in conditioner was made by mixing castor oil, coconut oil, neem oil, vitamin E, conditioner and water.
After that I put some of the hair growth oil along my scalp. My hair growth oil is a mixture of castor, coconut, fenugreek, neem, olive, moringa, sesame, rosemary, lavender and so many other oils which I've forgotten.
I also put some on my hands and spread along the length of my hair focusing on the ends.
I massaged that section very well before combing out with a wide tooth comb starting from the ends to the roots. It was easy because of the process I used.
I then braided that section when I was satisfied.
- The above process was repeated for the rest of my hair and very little hair was shed when detangling.
My hair felt so refreshed and silky soft after this. And I had little to no breakage. I usually do this once a week to bring back moisture and it keeps my hair clean, soft and I can get all the benefits making my hair healthy as well.
