Introduction

I welcome you all to another great week of the steemit engagement challenge week. I hope you had a great weekend. I am Kehinde Micheal and my username is @msquaretwins here on this great platform. It is a great thing that we have entered the week 4 of the steemit engagement challenge. Many users have been participating and this has really improved the engagement across the participating communities. In this post I am going to be sharing what I do to improve myself. What I do to Improve Myself

There are so many areas in my life that I am working on to improve myself. In the next paragraphs I will be taking them one after the other.

• Leadership

One of the areas that I so much cherish is leadership. I believe leadership is one of the area that one needs to improve on, This is because, one way or the other, we lead in a little way we can. Father in the house leads his wife and children. The wife leads the children as well. Even the elders among children lead their younger ones. What about the places of work? In school, the prefects lead the other students, a class teacher leads the students, and the principal of the school leads the teachers. This is true for every sector. Leadership is everywhere. Therefore, I believe leadership is an area I must not joke with.

From time to time, I cease every opportunity to develop myself in leadership. I read books on leadership to improve and develop myself in leadership. Apart from this, I love to attend leadership seminar. There is an annual leadership program that I do attend at University Baptist Church Ogbomoso. This program has been a platform for my leadership development. Although, the first seminar I attended on leadership was 2013 where I learnt about leadership and what it is to be a leader, but my active participation started from 2015 upward.

• Career

By the grace of God I am an engineer by Profession. I hold a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. My research interest is in renewable energy, energy storage, material for energy generation, smart manufacturing, and production. So any time I see opportunity to acquire knowledge in this area, I always jump at it. I attend training in renewable energy, material and recycling etc.

For instance, the picture I uploaded below is a picture taken at one of the energy training I did at the Profit and Energy Comfort Limited, Nigeria. The company is into installation of solar energy. Consequently, I acquired the knowledge load calculation and installation of solar panel and its accessories.

• Spiritual

Another important area of my life that I also improve myself on is my spiritual life. I don't joke with this as well. I read books that can increase and improve me spiritually. It is very important to know that as much as we take care of our body, we must also take care of our spirit. The question is, how do we take care of our spirit? We take care of our spirit by reading the books that can help us spiritually. Books that are spirit filled. We take care of our spirit when we read the word of God and allow it to sink into our spirit.

I try as much as possible to renew my mind with the world of God. The Bible says that the spirit of a man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the innermost being. Reading and studying the Bible is a way to improve oneself spiritually, and this I do to improve myself. Not only that, I read spiritual books written by spirit filled authors.

• Finances

Another important area is Finances. Looking for many means to make many is one of the things that I do to make myself financially independent. Part of this is done on steemit platform. I invest quality time on this platform and make quality content to make sure that I earn in return for the time spent. Not only that, I take risk to invest anytime I see any promising investment.

Apart from this, I read book on finances and make sure I attend seminars on finances and any other investment opportunity that may come my ways.

Recommendation

My advice for you is to try and develop yourself in areas where you think you are most interested. This is because, it will not be difficult to be consistently growing in any area of your interest. But if you don't choose your passion or interest, you might find out soon how boring it will look like to want to improve yourself in area where you don't have passion for.

More so, make sure you are not stagnant. Consistency will help you to keep growing. Yo don't want to be at the same spot. Lastly, don't compare yourself with others. You will lose yourself when you do. The best thing to do is to compete with yourself. Never compete with others.

Conclusion

In this post, I have written about some things that I do to improve myself in some certain area of my lives. Although this is not all I do to improve myself, but I just share this with you for now. More will be discussed at any other opportune time. Thank you for reading my article.
