Great women of @steemwomensclub, I extend my greetings to you all, I believe y'all are having a great time here. Today I want to share with you all the five natural remedies I knew while growing up, some of these remedies I have actually tried using and it proved effective while I have seen other people use some and it still worked/still effective for them.

1. Kalanchoe pinnata:(Nkwakadibia)
  • This herb is locally applied on a newborn's umbilical cord through dry heating in the fire by mothers when bathing the child, it helps the umbilical cord to fall off quickly a few days after birth leaving the navel clean and healed.

2. Chromolaena odorata
  • popularly known as Awolowo leaf can be used to manage bleeding. As a child that year, any small injury sustained and we saw blood coming. By default, we are heading straight to any nearest bush in search of this leaf "Awolowo leaf", because it will stop the bleeding and it also helps our wound to heal faster.

3.Cabbage for Engorged Breast.
  • The best way to manage an Engorged breast in addition to taking over the counter painkillers is the use of cabbage. Place the cabbage on your breast and support it with a firm brasserie. Remove it when it has become warm and replace with a new one.

4. Chaya leaves
  • widely known as' Hospital too far' , are very rich in iron. Therefore it can be used to boost blood in the body. This leaf can be used for cooking or can be drunk as juice . Very good for anaemic people.
5. Grinded beans and potash mixed with red palm oil can be applied on the surface of a boil to make it ripen faster.

N/B: All the leaves must be washed thoroughly before use in order to avoid introducing germs into the body.

Thank you @mjoedavid for taking part in this contest. The herbs you have suggested are all common to most African women and the health challenges are often experienced. With these suggested natural remedies, women and their home can be relieved. I will review all other entries and see if you win.
