Hello dear women of the Steemit club. It is very pleasant for me to republish my crochet projects in this community. For today I bring you a Mouse Pad in the shape of a heart in view of the fact that we are in the month of love and friendship.
To make this mouse pad I used a macramé or nylon cord, here in Peru they call it mouse tail but in Venezuela we call it thick nylon. If you know another name for this material, you can leave it in the comments. I also used a 3mm needle suitable for the thickness of the thread.
For the Mouse Pad to have a heart shape, I had to follow a pattern that I found on the web, the stitches to use are: The chain stitch, the single crochet, the high crochet and the slip stitch.

I started my work with a base of 25 chain stitches. And then I followed the pattern as I show in the pictures of the step by step. I closed the piece with a crab stitch border to give it a more beautiful and delicate touch. If you would like me to make a post to explain in more detail how to read the patterns or how to knit the basic crochet stitches, please let me know in the comments and I will be happy to prepare a post for beginners.
There are many projects that can be done following simple patterns, however after some time of practice, it is possible to create our own patterns or modify existing ones. I hope you like the project and are encouraged to use the pattern since not only can you make a mouse pad, we can also make a portfolio for girls, a small mat, a cup holder and everything that the imagination allows us.
