As many of the participants will have commented in their publications, the situation in my country Venezuela is one of the most critical in terms of the economy, because the devaluation of our currency with respect to the US Dollar (our most used currency today) occurs daily. Even every hour the exchange monitors of my country vary the figure, always placing a higher one, for that reason the income that may come from a different type of currency that does not have a devaluation index such as the fiat currency of my country, They will always be the best, that is why many Venezuelan households depend on Steem and other currencies or cryptocurrencies, making use of them through online work on microtech pages or as it is in my case with the creation of content, likewise many households depend on remittances from their relatives abroad, with which I want to emphasize that any Venezuelan is happy to earn an income, even a small one, in a currency other than the national.
Since I started in Steem, in 2018 this has been a source of support, a crutch and in some situations a lifesaver, when I started in it and saw that I could generate an income by sharing my knitted amigurumis and my drawings, I had the goal of paying the student residence to continue studying, but when I began to be more active in this network I realized that the Steem currency does not devalue like my national currency, it was better to use it as a savings bank to be able to buy what I could not buy with Other income.
In Venezuela, food is very expensive and maintaining a home is difficult, which is why practically all the income that I can generate through other means is used to buy food, but it is not enough for everything else, that is, if my shoes get damaged. it is not enough for me and if the computer is damaged I do not have money to repair it and much less to acquire I go technology. Therefore my first goal when I started was to get together to buy a Router to be able to have Wifi in my house, since I had internet but it was only connected with a wired LAN modem to my old desktop computer or PC and I had bought a Computer Canaima precisely because my old PC constantly presented failures, I remember that at that time the Steem currency was very low and although since June 2018 it was very active on the platform I was able to complete my first goal in November, gathering all the Steem and Sbd that I had (mostly Steem because the platform had stopped rewarding with SBD for a while), I still have the box and the router is connected since then, without WIFI my life would be more difficult.

Now, due to different personal circumstances, the year 2019 was very difficult for me, in addition there were the two great blackouts and collapses of the electrical system in my country, I no longer published as often, sometimes I spent a long time without publishing, however that year in August With Steem, I bought my boots that are still the only ones I have, a sweater, a backpack, a pair of shoes for my son and I was able to celebrate my son's birthday.

Como se fue la luz y cantamos el cumpleaños en pleno apagón
We sing the birthday in the middle of the blackout
Later for the year 2020 I left the platform for a long time, because after the Hardfolk or whatever it is called, at first I did not understand anything, and my publications received almost no votes, however after a few months I decided to publish again. sporadically but even so, when I obtained I always left a profit in savings destined to buy only necessary things that I could not buy with my other income that is used for food and medicine.
As I explained previously, 2019 brought many changes, the most important was the electricity rationing and the constant blackouts, this damaged many electrical appliances at home and when the light suddenly goes out my modem and my router go crazy and do not give me a signal from the internet even though the power has returned, so to avoid damaging my computer, with all that I had saved in Steem I bought a UPS, for those who do not know a UPS is like a voltage regulator for computers and peripherals Of the same one that has an internal battery included that allows you to have a margin of time with the computer on after a blackout so that you have time to turn it off normally and your equipment receives the least damage, this could be said that it was the best investment I could have made with my Steem, because it allows me to continue working on the creation of content and without Steemit this would be impossible because everything else is in food and this kind of thing is They are very expensive.
I bought it in November 2020, its value was 21239659 Bolívares, at that time the value of the US Dollar in my country was 540023, that was then equivalent to 39.33 Dollars, which today is almost 50 Steem , as you can see in the following images:

Since I live in a small city where there are almost no electronic goods stores and those that exist sell very expensively, I bought it online in a store in the capital of my country and paid for a shipment by mail which cost me 9880000 which was equivalent to in Back then at US $ 18.29, I paid for that with other income. But it is worth saying that without Steemit this would not have been possible, it is a UPS with only 650va and six output ports, that is, 6 places to connect that exactly serve me for the CPU, the monitor, the router and the modem. I don't use the other two ports because the controllers or socket heads on the modem and router take up a lot of space. But thanks to this I am not afraid that my equipment will burn with a frequent blackout.

Currently I still do not use Steemit for my daily expenses, I continue to use it as savings, right now my computer is in poor condition despite having repaired it several times, this happens because it is already very old, I also do not have a smart phone and that limits my online activities because I cannot download applications on my computer due to using outdated software because the processor capacity does not allow to use a newer one, that is why I am gradually saving my income in Steemit which until now has not been large amounts but the Constancy always brings its rewards and this year I am determined to be more constant, hoping one day to buy a computer with good performance and a phone to continue working online, since in my country a formal job does not represent a good income, I for For example, I have two long university degrees, that is, two degrees in which I invested a lot of money and effort and still I cannot have a job that allows me to eat well, that's why working online is what is saving my life and that of my family, I have a son and a mother who depends on me and I do everything for them, they encourage me every day to continue go ahead and be strong when I need it and above all to be focused on not spending my Steem on nonsense but on things that I can take advantage of to have a better future, I still do not learn how to invest in the currency as such, I only save them , but I would like to learn how to get more out of it, so if someone has knowledge on the subject and can help me I would appreciate it from the heart, your comments are always welcome. :)
