En la vida hay mujeres que admiramos que hacen que sientan por ellas una mezcla de atracción y devoción, que reconozcamos todas sus cualidades que podemos llegar, incluso a magnificarla. Hay muchas de ellas las cuales admiro por su trabajo, su constancia, su optimismo, por su fama, por su resistencia, por su belleza, por su forma de ver la vida, por su lucha, por su amor a los demás, entre otros. En esta oportunidad les hablaré de mi ídolo femenino que ha dado todo por mi y la familia, mi mamá.

In life there are women that we admire who make us feel a mixture of attraction and devotion for them, that we recognize all their qualities that we can reach, even to magnify them. There are many of them whom I admire for their work, their constancy, their optimism, their fame, their endurance, their beauty, their way of seeing life, their struggle, their love for others, among others. In this opportunity I will tell you about my female idol who has given everything for me and the family, my mother.

Ana Romelia

Mi mamá es mi ídolo, siempre la he admirado y por lo tanto ella es mi ídolo femenino favorita. Esta señora se llama Ana Romelia Hurtado tiene 70 años de edad , nació en Cumaná el día 31 de marzo de 1940, a mi mamá la he admirado por ser una mujer luchadora, mi mamá quedó huérfana muy pequeña de padre y madre, cuando apenas tenía 2 años de edad murió su papá y cuando tenía 11 murió su mamá, además su hermano también murió cuando él apenas tenía 2 años, ella quedó viviendo con su abuela que tenía 80 años y tuvo que trabajar muy pequeña con la edad de 14 años para poder ayudar ya que su abuela estaba muy viejita, cuando su abuela muere queda viviendo con un tío, ese tío vive con una señora y recibe a mi mamá como si fuera su madre, una señora muy buena, a los 17 años conoce a mi papá en una parranda, pero él es casado con otra señora, y mi mamá sale embarazada de él a los 18 años.

My mom is my idol, I have always admired her and therefore she is my favorite female idol. This lady's name is Ana Romelia Hurtado, she is 70 years old, she was born in Cumaná on March 31, 1940, I have admired my mom for being a fighting woman, my mom was orphaned very young, when she was only 2 years old her father died and when she was 11 her mother died, besides her brother also died when he was only 2 years old, She was left living with her grandmother who was 80 years old and had to work very little at the age of 14 to be able to help because her grandmother was very old, when her grandmother died she was left living with an uncle, that uncle lived with a lady and received my mom as if she were his mother, a very good lady, at 17 she met my dad in a party, but he was married to another lady, and my mom got pregnant by him at 18.

Luego mi mamá se vio obligada a trabajar y consigue trabajo de obrera en un liceo educativo, mi papá no se hace responsable ya que él tenía su esposa e hijos, luego al tiempo nazco yo su segundo retoño ella se ve más dura por trabajar, mi mamá le da 6 hijos a mi papá sin vivir en casa con él, cuándo mi mamá tiene tiempo trabajando reúne un dinero y decide comprar una casa, en ese tiempo el gobierno daba casa y se pagaba cuotas mensuales, ella decide mudarse y mi papá la sigue hasta allá y se pone a vivir con ella y con nosotros, allí en esa casa nos organizamos todos porque solo había 3 habitaciones , una cocina y una sala, tremendo terreno adelante y la parte de atrás, recuerdo que cuando nos mudamos yo tenía apenas 11 años de edad, sin luz y sin agua, ella lo hizo porque quería ya vivir sola con nosotros, mi mamá aun trabajaba en el liceo educativo y con ese sueldo lo administraba para pagar casa, comida, ropa, estudios, entre otros.

Then my mom was forced to work and got a job as a worker in an educational high school, my dad was not responsible because he had his wife and children, then at the same time I was born his second child she was harder to work, my mom gave my dad 6 children without living at home with him, when my mom has time to work she gathers money and decides to buy a house, at that time the government gave her a house and paid monthly fees, She decides to move and my father follows her there and starts living with her and us, there in that house we all got organized because there were only 3 rooms, a kitchen and a living room, a huge piece of land in front and in back, I remember that when we moved I was only 11 years old, without electricity and water, she did it because she wanted to live alone with us, my mother still worked in the educational high school and with that salary she managed it to pay for house, food, clothes, studies, among others.

Estar sola con 6 hijos es difícil, pero de esa manera nos sacó adelante junto con mi padre, nos puso a estudiar a todos, mi hermana mayor poco le gustaba estudiar y prácticamente mi mamá la obligaba, pero como no le gustaba ella hizo cursos especializados en administración, mecanografías en el INCE así que mi hermana consiguió trabajo de secretaria , ella no quería que ninguna de nosotras le siguiera los pasos, yo estudié una carrera corta de docencia me gradué con 17 años de edad y ayudaba a mis hermanos con sus estudios ellos fueron muy buenos estudiantes y también ayudaba a mi mamá con el cuido de ellos mientras ella trabajaba, mi mamá no sabía leer ni escribir muy bien y en ese tiempo ella estudió en ACUDE por medio de su trabajo fue la mejor alumna, aprendió rápido y yo la ayudaba un poco.

Being alone with 6 children is difficult, but that's how she got us through with my father, she put us all through school, my older sister didn't like to study and my mother practically forced her to, but because she didn't like it she took specialized courses in administration, typing at INCE so my sister got a job as a secretary, she didn't want any of us to follow in her footsteps, I studied a short degree in teaching and graduated with 17 years of age and I helped my brothers with their studies. They were very good students and I also helped my mother with their care while she worked, my mother did not know how to read or write very well and at that time she studied at ACUDE through her work.

Cuando alguno de nosotros nos enfermábamos siempre estaba allí, recuerdo que mi hermano sufría de asma y cuando lo hospitalizaban yo la ayudaba a cuidarlo, nos turnábamos, para no sentir tanto el cansancio. Cuidó a cada uno de sus nietos. Con el tiempo esa señora poco a poco construyó la casa, solo con su sueldo de obrera. Su vida ya era una vida tranquila cuando nos vio crecer, la admiro porque una persona tan poco estudiada nos enseñó principios y valores. Mi mamá logró sus sueños de que ningunos de nosotros se quedaran sin estudiar y que nos casáramos.

La admiro por su valentía ante la vida, por su dedicación hacía nosotros para cuidarnos, protegernos y darnos lo que estaba a su alcance , por su coraje de enfrentar los obstáculos encontrados en el camino, por siempre seguir adelante y no desfallecer . Mi mamá es una mujer dedicada a su familia y siempre ha estado con sus hijos y más que todo cuando la hemos necesitados.

When one of us got sick, she was always there. I remember that my brother suffered from asthma and when he was hospitalized, I would help her take care of him, we would take turns, so as not to feel so tired. She took care of each of her grandchildren. Over time, this lady slowly built the house, only with her worker's salary. Her life was already a peaceful one when she saw us grow up. I admire her because a person so little educated taught us principles and values. My mother achieved her dreams that none of us would be left without studying and that we would get married.

I admire her for her courage in the face of life, for her dedication to taking care of us, protecting us and giving us what was within her reach, for her courage to face the obstacles encountered along the way, for always moving forward and not giving up. My mother is a woman dedicated to her family and has always been with her children and more than anything else when we have needed her.

Actualmente se encuentra en su casa con mi padre, acompañada de 2 hermanas que viven junto a ella, ya los demás nos casamos y vivimos separados. Mi mamá es sinónimo de amor, paciencia, esfuerzo y admiración para mucho es por eso que se convierte en mi ídolo, somos una familia pequeña pero llena de amor, ella goza de sus nietos y biznietos, es una mujer trabajadora y siempre sale adelante. Su vida no fue la mejor pero con lo poco logró salir adelante y no darse por vencida antes la adversidades de a vida, doy gracias a Dios por tenerla con vida junto a nosotros.

She is currently at home with my father, accompanied by 2 sisters who live next to her, and the rest of us have married and are living separately. My mom is synonymous of love, patience, effort and admiration for a lot of things that is why she becomes my idol, we are a small family but full of love, she enjoys her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she is a hard working woman and always gets ahead. Her life was not the best, but with the little she managed to get ahead and not give up before the adversities of life, I thank God for having her alive with us.

En lo personal me ha ayudado cuando he estado enferma y en mi duelo por la pérdida de mi hijo fue uno de mis pilares fundamentales que me ayudó a levantarme, cada día me impresiona ver a esta mujer que perdió todo en su vida y aun así sigue adelante. Mi ídolo femenino: Mi madre.

Personally she has helped me when I have been sick and in my grief for the loss of my son she was one of my main pillars that helped me to get up, every day I am impressed to see this woman who lost everything in her life and still continues to move forward. My female idol: My mother.
