Understanding Steem Transition; Communities Sustainability.

Greetings Steemit Team! I have come your way this morning to clear some doubts and speculations and misconceptions some of us have inculcated concerning the new development or best put, "Transition of Steem." As I earlier joined Steem, I have experienced so many Hardfolks that have been taking place. And one of the important of Steem Hardfolk was to bring some upgrading and development with respect the the New modalities there happen to put in place. It take the Steemians to Analyze and digest what the import of the by then Hardfork means. I don't know if the Steem Hardfork would come into play again.

I wouldn't say that the new development of Steem is Steem Hardfork, but the community Support for the Month is Steem Transition, which is at the beta stage to assess how best the communities in Steem would be Self reliant in order to support their members. In effect, Steem is taking New shape that would bring new development to my opinion. With the insertion of Communities creation brought about new emergence of different Communities from countries or individuals who could not consider the resource available for Sponsorship. Many Communities in this effect were over reliance on Steemit budget for Communities/individuals Sponsorship, of course the ultimate Curation resources - Steemcurator01 Upvote.

Many individuals took advantage of creating new Communities aimlessly with the intention of Founders/Administrators/Mods getting some favour from Steemcurator01 Upvote. Most of these Communities were not geared towards a specific purpose of using the resources they earn to support build the Community Account so that in future they would self sufficient to support members, but just with one intention of Founders/Admins/Mods being bosses have powers to control the resources that come to the Community Account. Even though, Communities can be created but it should have a well defined purpose towards the current trends/transition/goal of Steem. Steem is taking New shape of creating investment avenues, self sustainable Communities that could support large number of individuals and Newbies who join us with less or no Steem power. We know it becomes very difficult for one to thrive and generate Steem power to Whale with only sharing content; unless otherwise huge resources are invested.

The Misunderstanding/Misconceptions/Misinterpretation toward the Community for the Month Support Program

Many Steemians or Community Founders/Admins/Mods are having doubts whether this is the right way to support the Communities in Steem Ecosystem. "As the Assumption of McGregor Theory X put it; Human being is by nature resistant to change."

They become used to the old system of operation in the organization thinking that the new modalities are coming to ruin the organizational goals. People adopt and become content with the situations they are, forgetting that there are better ways ahead if there have been modifications. But the question is without a change, how can one identify that there are new ways of doing things?

Many are being challenged with this modalities by Steemitblog, thinking that the New emergence of Communities are going to collapse once that they aren't having either Steemcurator01 or Booming support. But, we should understand that this is the transition we should all adopt and adapt to for mean time, study the pattern and see how the plans will go. The most good side of this project under beta is that there are guidelines/conditions/patterns to follow to meet the goal of this program and every Community that follow are benefited from this program.

How would this Community of the Momth Support program Are important to Steem Communities?

Though the program is at experimental stage and wouldn't want to dive into the detailing of how beneficial it would be for Communities since anything can change. But, first and foremost it will help to wipe away Communities who came with the mindset of finding cheap rewards and favour from Steemit budget and keep Communities who came to strength Steemit Blockchain all together.

The program is shaping the Communities to well define their roles/objectives or the community purposes and how possibly they can help build Steem Blockchain. Every Community has its purpose of creation and it must rely on specific objectives of what the community hopes to achieve within a specific time flame. This can be updated in the Community's weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual report, letting the Steemit Community know and how they can help realise those goals.

The program is reenforcing the Communities to work harder to be self reliance and keep strong engagement of members. The guidelines left for Communities to meet the target which of course serving as benchmark for the selection to be among this program is energizing Communities to work extra harder in terms of post qualities, commenting, upvoting, devoid of unnecessary abuses, plagiarism and spamming of contents and many cheap ways of getting rewards. Since Steem must stand out with credibility, all these conditions are employed to maintain the status quo of Steem being the authentic blogging site ever, as such we can't denounce this reputation we have maintained since the creation of Steem.

Recommendations
This is my personal observation that I have drawn since the beginning of this project, that I think Steemit Team should consider. I don't know there would some open forum seeking for Steemians to share their ideas on the weaknesses and strength of this program base on monthly reports. I think the six(6) slot selection of Communities support program should be increase to Eight(8) or Ten(10) in order to reach out many Communities that you think they are equally performing. But, this is just suggestion since I don't know the exact budget available for Communities.

Or, there should be a way out to support these 2 or 4 standby Communities as suggested to be added. This can be a minimal Upvotes on their interesting projects, contests or update in order to keep them. But, the main focus of extra Upvotes would be on the final six(6) selected Communities. The reason to this Communities is that, some average Communities are striving just that they don't have enough ideas, people or Steem power to support the members. In the situation of Country Communities, they have multipurpose defined objectives and small groups even looking at their geographical location and population, it takes quite some time to get large number of people.

Some of the limiting factor might be lack of more business or investment oriented people and little knowledge on crypto on the part of the citizens. In this case, it takes time for many people to adopt, thereby affecting investors coming on board to invest their resources.

Conclusion

I think with these clarification of thoughts which I have come out Steemians would take them in good faith and work towards Communities specific purpose whiles creating more engagement to members. Actually, we are finding new ways to make Steem Strong, well resourced among crypto where by individuals would find freedom for their family, friends and Communities where they inhabit. The core value of Steemit is blog while the blogger is Incentivizing with Steem tokens base on the effort of blogging which some could be use to support the most vulnerable in the society. If one understand the vast difference between the centralized regulations of the economy, then he will opted for decentralized Platform like Steem which hopes to helping individuals to blog for free without strict rules binding the blogger, being scalable meaning hosting large number of people with low cost effective.

Thanks for your attention!

You have highlighted some important issues that need to be looked at. The whole community support program is great but my worry is those that never get to be on the list, eventually those in that community will lose interest and leave. Since all communities can't be on the list there is a need for all communities to come up with other ways to becoming self sustaining. It's time for us to seek ideas and also look outside if there will be sponsors or other stakeholders who will help since now we are having an overwhelming number of people, which require that more resource has to be available to reward everyone to be satisfied. My humble opinion

Well taken My Brother we will really look into that. Yes, getting sponsors is good. But we still need to work harder so that base on our hard work we can get support.
