The Diarygame/ 04-11-2021 / My First day at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.

It’s been awhile, I hope we are all doing great ?

Today was a very exciting day for me. It is about my first day at cape coast. To be more specific, my first day at Cape Coast teaching hospital. I have been reassigned to that hospital for a five week clinical work for academic purposes. Fortunately or unfortunately for me, I was the only one from my class assigned to this place.

I got to Cape Coast around 3:30pm yesterday. I woke up in high spirit around 5:30am today. I wanted to get to the hospital before 7:00am. My uncle showed me some few places yesterday including the location of the Cape Coast teaching hospital and that of the University before he left.

I left home and board aboboyaa for the first time 😂. I was seriously scared to death. I have never really sat on a moving motor or tricycle so the experience was completely novel. I only pretended not to be scared so that the other passengers don’t laugh at me. I’m sure they noticed anyway😅. I am hoping that with time, I will become used to it since that will be my primary means of transportation from my house to the hospital.

I’m currently working at the hospital as a student Physiotherapist under the supervision of one of the renowned Physiotherapist in the country Dr Ebenezer Acquah.

He welcomed me when I got there around 7:10am. He took my letter and instructed me to start work right away.
For today and Friday, I will be doing more of administrative work than hands on Physiotherapy work.
Then from Next week onwards, I will start with actual Physio work even to the extent of going on ward rounds with some of the working Physios.

For my first day, I closed around 2:30am. When I got home, I made myself some very rich gari mixture.

My day was extremely nice. I’m already getting used to staying with Fantes. 😂
I’m sure by the end of my five weeks in Cape Coast, I will be very fluent in the language because everywhere I pass, I get to hear people speak it.

it’s a lovely language anyway.

I hope my stay in Cape Coast and working at the Physiotherapy department at Cape Coast teaching hospital would be very blissful as today.
