My wife and I are planning a holiday in beautiful Croatia
We are going to travel with some friends and are planning the trip sometime in the month of April
Have searched on the internet and there are many incredibly beautiful places in Croatia, it is difficult to choose a place and whether we should stay in a hotel or a holiday home
Have you visited Croatia before and can give us some recommendations on places we should visit and where it is good to stay

Dubrovnik is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. If you drive from there along the Jadranska Magistrala for about 100 kilometres directly along the sea in a north-westerly direction, you will come to Klek. A beautiful picturesque bay where you can camp by the water or spend the night in the classy "Villa Millene". And a day's journey further on, always along the beach, you come to my personal highlight - Krk... ;-))
I wish you a wonderful journey, many wonderful impressions and of course a safe return home!
Thanks for the great info, looking forward to it
Hi, I have been there many times for both work and leisure. April is a lovely month to visit, not too hot. Where will you fly to? Will you hire a car? Renting a holiday home is certainly more cost effective compared to staying in a hotel. I recommend a twin or triple centre, maybe even an island hopping holiday. Let me know what you’re after so I recommend you a few options.
I thought that you have visited Croatia 😊
Now I have checked the temperatures that are there in April and we want higher temperatures and are now thinking of traveling to Croatia at the end of May.
We are thinking of flying to Split.
Archipelago cruises are also a possibility we are looking at now
May is better than April if you fancy sunbathing on a beach however it might still rain. It also gets ever so busy with families with children as this is when school holidays are. So avoid the end of May unless you are also travelling with kids and can't go later in June for instance. Split is a wonderful choice! I suggest spending a few days in town, explore the Diocletian's Palace, etc. then hop on the ferry to the island of Hvar. Many flock to Brac, the sandy beach, rest are pebbly or rocky. Korcula is also great to visit as it also has a fantastic Old Town but it's further away. If you just do Split & Hvar for example you can easily do without hiring a car. A must visit at least as a day trip is the Plitvice Lakes National Park, book a full day tour with pick-up and drop-off or just drive there, it's about 2 and a half hours from Split. Have fun!
Croatia is a beautiful country known for its stunning Adriatic coast, historic towns and diverse landscapes. Croatia is rich in historic cities with well-preserved old towns and impressive architecture. Dubrovnik, known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic', is famous for its impressive city walls and red tiled roofs. Split is home to the impressive Diocletian's Palace and Zagreb, the capital, is an enchanting blend of medieval charm and modern life.
If you are near Zagreb I would recommend this guesthouse: "https://www.tripadvisor.de/Hotel_Review-g1203113-d1966247-Reviews-Pansion_Gec-Ivanec_Varazdin_County_Central_Croatia.html"
I was in Croatia with my RV, specifically on the island of Krk, which is one of the largest islands in the Adriatic and the largest island in Croatia. It is located in the northern Adriatic and can be reached by a bridge from the Croatian mainland. "https://www.camping-adriatic.com/zablace-camping-baska

Wow, the water is so clear and blue @xpilar...reminds me of Florida (US State) and the Caribbean...where I have visited a few times...both of you will have a wonderful time I'm sure.
Yes, it is beautiful
I have also been to the Caribbean
If you will be in Croatia, be sure to visit Plitvice Lakes.
Thanks for the tip
Beautiful natural landscape. The water surface is crystal clear, all of which inspires a good holiday and travel. Thank you very much.
nice
Lucky fish!!!! It is always so exciting to plan a holiday trip - especially over the seas! I have actually never been ANYWHERE overseas and I am 43 - so I better do something about that in the near years to come, lol!
Well, I am sure you will find a gorgeous place to stay and I wish you both the best time when it comes!
Happy Monday @xpilar
