When the painter @romanie opens her annual exhibition in Ibiza, she usually combines vernisage with the participation of other variants of artistic expression, such as music or dance. The image of this entry corresponds to the latter creative aspect, in its Butoh version, which is a speciality born in Japan after the second world war and which proposes a social and human critique through crude, sometimes aggressive and normally slow movements, although almost always improvised. On this occasion the dancer Amanda Orolov used multicoloured lighting, a surrealist costume and a net as elements with which she staged oppression.

Technically the photograph was taken with a very simple camera, the Fujifilm X-T2s. Due to the dim lighting I had to use an ISO of 3200 to be able to freeze the movement in some of the scenes like this one, setting the speed to 1/125'. The lens used was the Fujinon 18-55 f:2.8-4 with the aperture at f:8 and the focal length at the maximum, 55mm.

The RAW file has been processed in Capture One in a standard way, removing some of the strong contrast of the scene.

Cuando la pintora @romanie inaugura su exposición anual en Ibiza, suele combinar el vernisage con la participación de otras variantes de la expresión artística, como son música o danza. La imagen de esta entrada corresponde a esta última vertiente creativa, en su vertiente Butoh, que es una especialidad nacida en Japón después de la segunda guerra mundial y que propone una crítica social y humana a través de movimientos crudos, a veces agresivos y normalmente lentos, aunque casi siempre improvisados. En esta ocasión la bailarina Amanda Orolov usó como elementos la luz multicolor, un vestuario surrealista y una malla con la que escenificó la opresión.

Técnicamente la fotografía se tomó con una cámara muy sencilla, la Fujifilm X-T2s. Debido a la tenue iluminación tuve que usar un ISO de 3200 para poder congelar el movimiento en alguna de la escenas como esta, poniendo la velocidad a 1/125'. El objetivo usado fue el Fujinon 18-55 f:2.8-4 con el diafragma a f:8 y la distancia focal al máximo, 55mm.

El procesado del archivo RAW está hecho en el programa Capture One de una forma estandard, eliminando un poco el fuerte contraste de la escena.
