Hello to all photography lovers.

In this weekly entry about how a photography was made, today I present a portrait, perhaps one of the most complicated and difficult specialities to photograph, although on this occasion I found it easier than expected.

Let's put it in context: On the island of Ibiza there is a fashion that is characterised by the colour white, flowing dresses and adorned with lace. For several years I had as clients several designers of this local fashion, called Moda Adlib. Normally, the shoots were done outdoors, taking advantage of the natural light of the Mediterranean and I liked to take the set to the beach, as the sea in the background fits perfectly with the style of this trend of dresses. During one of the breaks in the shoot, I asked Raquel, a young semi-professional model, if she wanted to sit on the sand for some more spontaneous shots. Here I show one of the images from that mini session outside the rigid work.

On a technical level these are the camera data: ISO 100, speed 1/2000, F:3.5. This very open aperture was to blur the background. The lens used was a 70-200 at 150mm focal length.

The original raw file has been processed with a slight "cinematic" tone that I think suits the scene.

If anyone wants to ask any questions about this shot or photography in general, don't hesitate to do so. This post is open to participation.

I find the shooting on free air might be a bit challenging for the photographer because you have sun that is dropping a shadow and it is difficult to get stronger light source, only you need to work around and see how you position the model or maybe using hats like in "Raffaelo" video-clip.

Shooting on beach is wonderful, there is always wind so long hair or dresses look beautiful :)

Thanks a lot @stef1 for your kind words and support.

In this particular case, the fact of shooting against the sunlight was balanced by the reflection of the light on the sand and the outfit of the model. That's why her face looks lit very smoothly. Another question is to shoot with the right exposure for the model's skin, although it means to overexpose the background, which in this case is better.
