¡Hola y bonito día tengan todos ustedes, estimados miembros de la comunidad Xpilar! Espero que se encuentren bien y que estén disfrutando de este bonito fin de semana. El día de hoy les traigo una colección fotográfica de mi recorrido por el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Ateneo de Yucatán (MACAY) durante el evento de la Noche Blanca, llevado a cabo los días 24 y 25 de mayo pasados. De este evento escribí un post hace poco más de un mes en este mismo espacio, cuyo link dejaré al final de la publicación.
Fiel a su tradición, el MACAY ofreció cuatro interesantes exposiciones temporales de artistas provenientes de distintas partes del país y del mundo, cada uno con un estilo único en su campo (grabado, ilustración y escultura). Las exposiciones fueron Creación y Mito de José Pool Mashka, Homenaje de Sonia Delaunay, Génesis de Melva Medina, y Tradición reinventada de Lola Cueto. Estas exposiciones temporales por lo general duran cuatro meses; en este caso, iniciaron en el mes de marzo y han de terminar a fines de este mes de junio.
También se encuentran a disposición del público tres exposiciones permanentes, en donde se exhiben las obras de Fernando Castro Pacheco, Gabriel Ramírez Aznar y Fernando García Ponce, figuras prominentes en el mundo del arte en Yucatán, así como piezas de orfebrería donadas al museo por otra institución.

Hello and good day have everyone, dear members of the Xpilar community! I hope you're fine and that you're enjoying this beautiful weekend. Today I'm bringing to you a photographic collection from my tour of the Yucatan's Museum Athenian of Contemporary Art (MACAY) during the White Night event, held on May 24th and 25th. I wrote a post about this event a little over a month ago in this same space, whose link I'll leave at the end of the post.
Faithful to its tradition, the MACAY offered four interesting temporary exhibitions of artists from different parts of the country and around the world, each one with an unique style in their field (engraving, illustration and sculpture). The expositions were Myth and Creation by José Pool Mashka, Tribute by Sonia Delaunay, Genesis by Melva Medina, and Reinvented tradition by Lola Cueto.
Three permanent exhibitions are also available to the public, where the works of Fernando Castro Pacheco, Gabriel Ramírez Aznar and Fernando García Ponce, prominent figures in the art world in Yucatan, are exhibited, as well as goldsmith pieces donated to the museum by another institution.
