The World of XPILAR - B&W Photography and Art Contest #111 : ¿Qué tanto me miras? (ESP / ENG)
Hello and good day everyone! The following picture was taken with my Samsung A32 phone's camera on Thursday, May 12th 2022, in the Plaza Grande (Historic Downtown). The bird portrayed here is a Mexican Zanate (Quiscalus mexicanus), originally from central Mexico and a recurring inhabitant in different parts of my city, Merida. In Mayan language, these birds are known as K'au because of the screeches they emit and their dark blue plumage. They are always on big or small groups, depending of the place they live; they use to stop in the yards of the houses in search of food and water.
As well as the title says, these bird stared at the camera with an "outraged air", although it was possibly more curiosity than anything else. Or that he's very used to being photographed.
That is nice photography and looks it's eyes .
