Learned a lot from this post @stef1 and if Steem is encouraging people to power up and they are powering down, it means something big is cooking and they don't want their users to lose when its ready.
I am positive good things are underway with the recent powerup and from my perspective, i think Steem wants to attract new users, empower them, improve coin value and then make the platform stable and enabling for everyone. I have hope and believe Steemians need to hold on to #hope
