Did you have a nice time in Pevensey? Did you visit the castle?
We spent the weekend on Hayling Island with the larger family - it was utterly exhausting and we came very close to not making it there at all (I'll never come so close to a car crash without being in one). it was good though - I took the-toddler-gorilla swimming and he played with all of his cousins which is always great. I'm grateful that I can have a rest tomorrow 😴
We really enjoyed Pevensey and we got lucky with the weather as it didn’t rain at all. We visited the castle yesterday, before lunch. It has a lot to offer. The tower you take the wooden steps to is my favourite as it boasts stunning views. The Royal Oak, just outside the castle grounds has quite an exciting food menu and I totally recommend it.
It sounds like you had a wonderful long weekend with the big gorilla family. I am glad that you are safe and made it there. Was someone rushing to get somewhere and threatened the rest on the road? I wish I was having a relaxing day today but instead, here I am in the office already.
On a separate note, I was chosen for being the first orca here in WOX, so I also wanted to thank you for encouraging me to apply 🤝

The weekend was good but a little bit stressful. The drive was standard A27 dickishness. 2 lanes turning right, I'm in the left of the 2 and as I turn right, the guy outside me decides he's going straight on and powers down across my path at the last minute. You know it's close when the cars waiting at the roundabout are all grimacing. I ended up with a migraine on Sunday and this probably contributed to it. And the fact that I had to say to my family "I'm not leaving my 4 year old in a caravan being looked after by an 11 year old. That's what news headlines are made of!".
Madness.
So it could have been more relaxing for sure 🙂
