Shift on Sunday: Endoscopy day
Hello my dear Steemians,
As I mentioned before, often we work on weekend in order to take part in weekend Initiatives to reduce the pressure from waiting lists. I try to be a part of it one or twice a months. On other hand it is also for us surgeons to keep our endoscopy skills updated.
The bad side of such weekends that I have one one day off and 6 days or work, but those days a bit different because there are only small team and there is nobody disturbing with any emergencies.
The day today was nice and sunny about +3C, such days me and my hubby do a little walk. The sky was blue and the white clouds due to first sun rays were looking pinks, was beautiful sky.
Here is the building of our hospital it is relatively new built in 2011, still everything in good condition, although some parts and dep-ts were already renovated.
Today I was working in Endoscopy room 2, it is spacious and close to waiting area..
This is how it looks inside, I do Gastroscopy, that is investigation of upper gastrointestinal tract. Today we had 12 patient and it was a full day list. I finished after 5PM and will try to enjoy the rest of my Sunday evening and that is I am wishing for you too.
Thank you, friend!

Congratulations! Your post has been upvoted through steemcurator07. Good postThank you @graceleon and SC07 for the support :)
So you are a surgeon doctor, wonderful job!
Yes, I am and it was my decision since I was in my last year of University. Surgical pathology is something that we can make people better through operating. The medical issues often more chronic maybe that was the reason why I did not really like. But I also like the surgical skills and of course, modern equipments that allow us to improve the skills. Thank you for visiting my post :)
My most sincere congratulations!
This post answers my curiosity about your night duties! Whenever you said you were going for night duty, I thought you were in the police (and that horse confirmed my imagination) or health sector. Now I know you're a surgeon and a specialist in the digestive system. Endoscopy, I believe is a painful process as miles of tubes are inserted in the intestine.
Yes, there are few acute services like police, firefighters and medics w. nurses who do not have normal days off but often randomly spread. Yes, surgery this is my field and I am still having my regular shift working. Endoscopy nowadays done on request of patient either on throat spray or sedation so it is not bad like few decades before.
This is really cool. A job I would probably never have the skill nor the mindset too. Huge respect!
