Garden update: first harvest potatoes and carrots

Hello my dear Steemians,

 

If you remember it was not long ago when we planted our potato and carrots in raised beds. When we arrived from holiday we were a bit concerned if everything was still okay or became dry or maybe too wet. But looking at everything we noticed that some plants were slightly dry, looking in Internet we found that often when it is so then it might be that potatoes are matured enough for picking up.

That is why we decided to take our potatoes on last Sunday and I was very excited about that and here how it looks like initially.

 

 

Here are how the potatoes look like with their roots and we can see many still smaller one I left the smaller back in with hope that they will grow again, so we will see.

 

 

 

 

Here is everything that I got the pot is full and it is 3kg of fresh potatoes.

 

 
As to carrots they are already big enough and have this nice orange colour but I thought that it is better to leave them in garden and to pick up only when we need.

 

 
I was curious about the taste and here it is cut carrot and it taste good fresh, juicy and sweet.

 

 

Here it is our harvest and hopefully will be more later this summer.
